phoenix Posted April 24, 2013 Report Share Posted April 24, 2013 LC Phoenix 11 Delabole 0 Launceston College Phoenix tore through a Delabole side who'd actually started the brighter of the two teams. For the first ten minutes Phoenix struggled with Delabole's shape and movement but some hard work from Harry Marsh earned the alumni team a penalty that was converted with ease by Nathan Cox. Phoenix then began to run the show and played some excellent, simple football that saw them six goals up at half time and eleven by the final whistle. Nathan Cox grabbed a hat-trick, Jon Bye scored a deserved brace and there were goals for Bradley Stokes, Adam Daw, Shaun Cox, Harry Marsh, Ryan Cox and Luke Williams. Thanks to Delabole who worked hard and showed a good sporting attitude. The White Hart Hotel Man of the Match Award: Darren Webber- a superb shift by the versatile striker who worked tirelessly and effectively throughout.
