Shafts
How many get relegated this season? Looks really tight down there, going to be a great finish to the season.
jayjay21
All depends if bude or millbrook get promoted and also if the rumours are true that probus are pulling out
manutdfcok
Probus situation ,only talk at the moment. The amount of travel for away games is the problem. Nearest side is liskeard. ECPL Has changed alot in the last few years. mainly north cornwall, devon, and plymouth sides nowadays.
Willser !
Relegation too maybe affected by the leagues desire to field 16 teams in each respective league.
unitedrhino2
If rumours are true, St Austell, Mevigissey and Fowey joining the Ecpl Div 1, along with St Stephens, St Blazey, Nanpean, Roche, St Blazey Gate, Bodmin in Div One next year, would almost be a Local Derby every week. Less travelling more people following. Probus would have less travelling also if they decided to join Ecpl 1.

Would be up to the ecpl members.?
jayjay21
Any news on the outcome of the agm tonight ?
Nick Pope
Tonight wasn't the AGM so no outcome..... Hope this helps (may not) but plenty discussed regarding proposed rule changes and teams/divisions etc but no final decisions will be made until AGM by member clubs. All can be confirmed for season 13/14 after that point!!!
CoachKT
When Bodmin went down and Sticker got promoted it left the ECPL Premier with only 15 teams this season and with the possibility of Bude getting promoted that would mean only 14 next season so there is the possibility that if the Committee wanted to bring the Premier Division back up to 16 then two could be promoted from Division One and no-one gets relegated which would be good for the teams down there at the moment....or....relegate the bottom two as normal and promote Four teams which would be good for the teams at the top of Division One! MattP
Coach KT,two up and nobody relegated isn't an option,as league rules dictate that two must go down and two must come up. Additional clubs could, however,go up if sufficient new clubs are voted into Div 1 at the AGM. Still all up in the air yet.
Guest
It seems a little odd. There are only 15 teams in the Premier Division and not 16 allowed. if Bude go up then that reduces the division to 14. Therefore to bring up four clubs and relegate two seems a little nonsensical and my I say unfair.. If Bude are promoted then no club should be relegated as 2 clubs will have already deemed to have been relegated. Change the rules. Why should someone finishing fourth be promoted, seems a bit unfair.
budetownfcbicks
If the case is that no teams will be relegated if we go up, then this could lead to all sorts of problems. I say this as we have both Lanreath and Morwenstow still to play and therefore it would be in their best interest for us to beat them to help us secure 2nd place and regardless of what they do for the rest of the season. So firstly these games would be a joke and it would be totally unfair on the other teams fighting for 2nd place still. Seems silly and a poor way to end of the season but we wouldn't complain as long as we go up ha!
jayjay21
The leagues want 16 teams in each league therefore if bude get promotion then that will leave 14 if probus do apply to drop down then that will leave 13 teams so realistically the league shouldn't relegate anyone and the top 3 teams in div1 will be promoted . As for bude against morwenstow it's a derby game so can't see is intentionally letting you win as you like to win these games . If I remember rightly we played bude last season and drew which stopped them getting promotion
New boy
If two teams do not get relegated from the Prem, for what ever reason the AGM meeting ends up with making, should the teams who finished in those relegation positions start next season on minus points? This would indeed make the final games as if they were fighting for survival, so to speak, and stop a poor end to the season like budetownfcbicks has stated. I agree with him on this one, regarding the end of season battle for them to gain promotion and the teams they are playing trying to avoid relegation. If they know they will stay up despite losing, it will make a poor end to what has been a very exciting season, in my eyes!
MattP
Rules are rules and they can't be changed until next season; 2 down and 2 up.
Deadcert
If you don,t have the correct amount of teams in your league at this precise time, was there a rule change that stated that your league will always continue to run with the lesser amount of teams, if not relegated teams could challenge the fact that there is already the incorrect number of teams within the league. Never go down the route of relegating for the sake of it, at the least have a play off between the relegated teams and those finishing in the league below outside of the promotion spots! MattP
If you finish in the bottom two of any league you don't deserve to block the progression of good sides below you. If you DO,your leagues will stagnate.
