St Blazey 2v3 Torpoint

Recommended Posts

With the pitch looking superb and the sun shining it looked the perfect afternoon to come along and watch some football. The passionate home support were soon happy when Nanks latched on to a through ball and with one touch smashed the ball mast the Torpoint keeper. Sadly the Ref took centre stage after that and gave a penalty when a ball into the box was headed down by a torpoint player. Stood with in half a yard was a Blazey player and the ball hit him and gave a penalty. Seemed more than harsh!! Torpoint made it 1-1. St Blazey then played some good football and Jay Isbell hit the bar with a neat effort and the ball was knocked home on the rebound but the linesman gave off side!! St Blazey seemed to fall asleep just before half time when an apeal for offside wasn given and Torpoint made it 1-2. 2nd hald hadnt long started when a ball in the box caused confusion and Whetters seemed to force the ball past Palmer to make it 1-3. St Blazey did pull one back with 20 minutes to go and hit the bar in the dying minutes but couldnt pull off another comeback. Good entertainment in stunning weather.

Chairman.....The new look program looke superb. Cracking effort with a new look cover, new features and glossy pages. Surly worth charging £1.50 for that!!!

Wednesday sees St Blazey away at Parkway. Sure gona be hard after their impressive win at Bodmin. I think Parkway are serious challengers for the title this year.
