midlandlilywhite
Hi Dale, I enjoyed your coverage and commentary on the match despite the disappointing result. Well Done & Keep up the good work. Cheers Nick ( ex Harbour Lights)
DGGG
Good afternoon Nick, Glad you enjoyed the film, Kevin Marriott was superb! The Cornwall Channel are hoping to do more games but the lack of a sponsor is causing a problem. Cornwall football should be proud of what Bodmin achieved. Cheers, Dale. midlandlilywhite
I hope you can find a sponsor in the near future as you are playing a valuable role in promoting Cornish Football. I doubt that many other areas of the country have this type of publicity in non league football at this level. Hopefully one of the Cornsih Forum readers or members can themselves or have the appropriate contacts to sponsor and sustain your coverage. Good Luck ! Crusty
Just out of curiosity. Why do you need a sponsor to film local football ?. what are the issues ? for example, what is stopping Someone random rigging a Video Camera up and recording a local game then posting it online ?. midlandlilywhite
I think that Dale needs to reply to Crusty and explain that some costs must be involved e.g. the crews expenses, costs to the two clubs, production costs etc, hence the need of sponsorship to cover these. Nemesis
You should be contacting these people... https://www.facebook.com/CornwallChannel?fref=ts they are the ones who cover the football. The are a professional TV company with a channel on SKY, the cost of producing a programme etc must run into hundreds, they are not just a man with a holiday video camera. Crusty
I'm well aware of that. It was a simple question
DGGG
Good afternoon. My thanks to my friends for putting over the costings. One other point is copyright. Management at South West Peninsula House have been very kind to allow the Cornwall Channel, who I have to point out don't even pay me " bus fare home " to film the games without any charges. But copyright is to be always considered. Shane Solomon who owns the Cornwall Channel is doing a fantastic job, but to keep it going he believes around £300 to £400 per game is necessary. As you can imagine the cameras, mobile studio and payment to his employed guys simply costs.
