Richard Chown
Trelawny Premier Result: Penzance Res 1 Carharrack 2. Fortunate to get 3 points after a strong display by the home side. Carharrack took the lead after the interval on 46'. However, Penzance equalised after being awarded a penalty on the 73' by the match offical. A sigh of relief for the visitors after being awarded a penalty straight after the restart on 75' which was confidently converted from the spot. The visitors held onto the lead for the last quater until the referee blew for fulltime. Best of luck to the magpies for the rest of the season. #coys
Sorry patch that they didn't come back. To many sore losers in the 1st team. Always good food at your place aswell. Tms Ressies were very good this week recently we haven't been to bad, unlucky not to get all 3 points last week but we're still undefeated this year/ since I came back from injury St Ives dominated possession and we only had 4-5 attempts in the whole game but saying that are keeper only made one save all game from a shot that was going over, happy with the win and st Ives are a really good bunch of lads, to your post ealier the player that had the gash is in theatre now as we speak, not looking to promising. Thanks for the concern.

Dave Marks
Culdrose 2 Titans 4 Div 2 Good game played in decent conditions but a heavy pitch understandably, thought culdrose started very bright and should have gone 1 up inside 3 minutes, but for a scuff shot. Culdrose pressed again and should have scored a second before we even woke up today. Some serious cob webs after a 4 week lay off, j. cooper got our first pen about 20 mins in which jack slotted home then within ten minutes jack got his own pen and converted that before a neat bit of work from carts browner and a stu hull header made us look comfortable before ht. a fair ht score may of been 3-3. Second half and again Culdrose looked a good side. we continued to press them back after about 15 minutes and duly earnt a third penalty, yeh jack scored 4-0 and to be fair slightly harsh on the airmen, they continued to press and were rewarded after our keeper spilled the ball and 4-1, more pressure with 10 left and some poor defending 4-2, needless to say it was shutters up and doors closed after that. Have to say again a poor display from the referee who overuled both linos on a few decisions and at times was watching something completely different to the rest of us. nice fella all the same

Midfield Marvel
St Agnes 3 - 0 Gulval All the goals came during a 30 minute spell in the first half. Mark Mitchell and Paul Blake ran riot down the wings and had good interplay with Spencer Hassel and Brandon Light to set up the goals. Mitchell grabbing the first with a drilled volley inside the box, he then broke through 1 on 1 with the keeper and hit the crossbar allowing Jimmy Gazzard to slide in the rebound from 10 yards. Mitchy got the third as well but I can't remember that one so it can't have been very good?! Ben Pitts made some good saves and was quick off his line to stop Gulval at times. Good to have Gounders back at the heart of the defence and Richie Horsewell back in the food chain.

Jeff Stelling
Div 4 West Cornwall Res 4-1 Four Lanes (HT 2-0) Good performance from West Cornwall today against a Four Lanes side who have been looking strong in the league this season. After a fairly even opening we scored two goals in relatively quick succession half way through the first 45. We then saw this lead through to half time without creating much more to talk about. 2-0 is always a risky lead in football so we came out of the traps quickly in the second half and soon made it 3-0. Full credit to Four Lanes though as they got a goal back midway through the half and then enjoyed a good spell of possesion themselves. We soaked up a lot of pressure in the last 20 minutes and defended well before killing the game off on the break with almost the last kick of the game. All in all an enjoyable game of football played in good spirits and well reffed by a young lad who is in his first season. Good luck to Four Lanes until we come to your place later in the season! bluenose
Div 5 St Erme 1-2 Marazion Res Looking at the pitch before the game it looked like a herd of cows had river danced all over it the night before but still grateful it wasn't called off. A minute silence well respected by both teams for a good friend and fellow player, Dave Allen (Dallen) who sadly passed away last Saturday. St Erme made it very difficult for us early on playing 5 in midfield, looking to have an extra man in the middle of the park. They took the lead after about ten mins with a 25 yarder which flew straight over Eric in goal. Nothing anyone could do to stop it just one of those goals that you have to give credit to. We tried to pass the ball around as best the pitch would allow but struggled to make any headway for the majority of the first half. Liam Mooney did hit the bar and the home keeper made some quality saves. At the back we seemed solid with St Erme playing only one up front. About ten minutes before half time the pressure told and Criag Rennard cut in from the right beat a couple of challenges before cutting back onto his right and sliding the ball past the keeper. Second half we pushed forward and put their defence under a lot of pressure but with an inspired keeper pulling off some good saves it looked like it was going to one of those days. We had numerous corners and it was from one of these that we took the lead. The home side failed to clear one and Dale Vigus slotted home from about 8 yards. We had several opportunities to extend the lead but we were unable to hit the back of the net. St Erme could have snatched a point late on when Eric spilled a cross which dropped to the feet of their striker but his goal bound shot was cleared off the line by Jamie Mooney. A hard but well deserved 3 points won on a bad pitch against a good battling team. They did well without Rappo but with him back up front next week I hope he can do us a favour against Gwinear. I think many teams will drop points on that pitch. The game was well reffed but to be fair there was very few fouls throughout the game. Eric Sleeman James Burlingham Danny Taylor Adam Caul Jamie Mooney Adam Martin Scott James Sanjay Vadgama Steve Hunt Dale Vigus 1 Craig Rennard 1 Liam Mooney Jason O'Sullivan Matt Thomas MOM : Craig Rennard - Scored a great individual goal and ran his full back ragged. I dont think the score line does us (storm) any. We had r chances in the first half playin uphill and into the wind. But helston took advantage of playin downhill with wind with the ball over the top. Was 5 down at half time but battled hard in the second to get a few more chances and a pen in with brakers put away. The ref had a big problem with swearin and even if u cursed at ur self he was happy to book ya. All i all a good game on a well worn pitch. good luck to helston for rest of season and wont be supprised to c them go up.
