Firey entertaining game, Didn't think G liked it very much

Many 1st team players in the St Dennis team Lee? Seems a shock of a result according to the league?

Nothing wrong with some first teamers gaining match fitness in the reserves by the way.

St Newlyn East 0 St Column Major 5

A tough game on a very heavy pitch. Newlyn will consider themselves unlucky not to get a least a consolation goal. Well done to Column Major on a good performance and good to see lots of you at the pub afterwards! Onwards and upwards Newlyn!

Minver go back top of div 3, winning 3-0 at home to stokes Climsland. Early Goal from Sam Cleave, followed by 1 from Paul Dingle, Saw Minver take a 2-0 advantage at Half time. A discipled Second half from Climsland made hard work for Minver. It was late sub for Minver top scorer Jason Northcott who settled things for Minver. This was a battle in midfield Richard Simmons put in a hard shift after being out. But Sharps Brewery MOTM went jointly to the Beesley brothers Dayll & Ben.

Boscastle 1 - 4 Foxhole

Played on a very heavy pitch. Foxhole playing down the slope in the first half scoring 4 goals, a hatrick from Jamie Robinson including a twice taken penalty..... the first being disallowed due to encrouchment, and then having to explain to the ref that the kick should be retaken, and not given as an indirect freekick to Boscastle!! The another from Sam Leaney.

Some meaty tackles from both teams, yet only Foxhole seemed to get pulled up for them........ A good away win for Foxhole, completing the double over Boscastle.

Decent changing rooms and nice food back at the pub.

Good luck for the rest of the season Boscastle.

St newlyn east res 0 St Columb res 5

Two first half strikes by Luke Worrall put Major in a strong position at half time.

Although Worrall scored on 20 mins, the visitors were denied a couple of earlier chances with the home keeper pulling off some great saves.

Major quickly found their stride at the start of the 2nd half when Paul Drinkwater increased the visitors lead.

St Columb res, knowing that it was a good chance to improve their goal difference when Dean Dingle capped off a good performance and earned himself a brace.

There were strong performances from all departments, but manager Nigel Worrall has picked out Jay Tipton as man of the match.

St Neot 4 - 1 Torpoint Comrades

St Neot finally got the better of Torpoint on there 4th attempt and raced into a 3-0 lead within 20 minutes with goals from Adam Gregory, Dan Chapman and Martin Hodge. Great football was played before a slack 5 mins allowed Torpoint in to get a goal back! St Neot were playing good football and in the 2nd half Nathan Berry scored with a header to take the score to 4-1 and St Neot remained in control with good defending and keep ball possession! This result now takes St Neot 2nd in Duchy 4!

I thought the game was dominated by St columb major through out. From the first few mins the center midfield got the ball and ran the show. some very good football played. Alot of chances created but missed. A very good performance against a team that never stop trying.

Looking to be getting a bit more open now for the top 3 in the league with southgate losing for the first time. :)
