Madron 0 - 0 wendron. Credit to madron who defended well put everything in the way and their keepermaking several top saves. Looking at madron results this season , it is obvisly a hard place to get all 3 points. The ref made a couple of bad desicions 1 giving us a freekick on the edge of the box when the foul was 2feet in the box. Madrons number 10 who is obvisly a good player but no footballing brain. Funny to watch and u will see what i meen when u play against him

Well played to Stithians Reserves today. We started the game well for the first 20mins and created some good chances but crumbled after a good long ball lead to the first goal. We just didn't regroup after than and Stithians went on keep us under pressure. Great bunch of lads, good luck for the rest of the season.

St Agnes goals from Brandon Light (2), James Thomas (Roberto Carlos style free kick from range), Paul Blake, and I think Mark Mitchell and Wilma.

The game was originally scheduled at the beginning of October so nice to get it played, the next round is next week!

Thanks to PZ for the food afterwards, hope your player with the knee injury is OK.

Div 2 Culdrose 0.1 Hayle.

1st half Culdrose against the wind and played well opening up Hayle but not finding the final touch. I then due to an injury had to cross pitches and play for the firsts! Came back with 10 mins left and we conceded a pen which Hayle scored from. Gutted with the result but couldn't tel you about the game! Cheers for the Hayle lads who stayed behind for drinks and food and look forward to seeing you later in the season.

It could be worse, if we don't have a game, I usually have to work! No friendly match for today then?

Perranwell res 2 Carharrack 1

Poor preformance from Carharrack today we didnt really trouble perranwell i think apart from a fine game from our keeper Adam Matthews perranwell could have won by more. Carharracks goal came from a toe poke through ball from Matt Mitchell for Liam Bray to toe poke home and that was as good as it got from us.

Fal athletic 2-2 penryn

Fal Scores- Joe Perran and Pete Tonkin

Penryn Scorers- Dave Bush and Chris Page

Athletic dug in and defended for 90 mins against a very good football playing Penryn, Penryn going 1 up from a header by page, a penalty was awarded to Penryn 5 minutes later, which Jay Durber smashed against the post, half time 0-1.

2nd half started the same way, with Penryn attacking, our keeper Steve Prynn playing outstanding between the sticks, sweeping behind the back line and making a number of outstanding saves. We equalised on the counter, only way we could! Donut sliced a clearance which landed at Joe's feet who volleyed in from 20 yards. Pete scored with 20 to go, good bit of play from Lee playing Pete in to slot home and put us in front. Penryn went for it and got their equaliser with 5 to go, long throw which landed in front of bushy to strike it through a crowd of players into the bottom corner. Penryn could of won it at the end but hit the post with the rebound landing very kindly for our keeper to collect, giving up a very hard earned point, which a lot of people wouldn't of predicted this morning. Onwards and upwards from here hopefully

Division 2

Cury 0 - 11 St Ives Reserves

Another away game that required my "expert" navigation skills to get us there, and the omens were good when I managed not to get us lost for once (we did get lost on the way to the pub after the game though...)
With some of our squad now thoroughly distraught by the weather and wisely choosing to seek warmer climates, the manager was forced into changes once again, with Noah Tanner (who was utterly brilliant throughout at right back) and Jake "Jakovic" Hinchcliffe making their starting debuts.

Having previously been to Cury to watch Halsetown Reserves play, I had expected the pitch to be challenging with the recent downpours.. today, Sir Ranulph Fiennes himself would have found it challenging...
The first 20 minutes were like watching 2 teams play with one of those crazy, wobbling footballs your sadistic Aunty bought you for Christmas as a kid, with the St Ives lads all too often hitting long over zealous passes, or shooting when a pass would have been the better option. In truth, Cury coped better with the conditions in the opening 20, forcing me into venturing outside the 18 yard box on a couple of occasions, and seeing a few shots flash wide and over.
Eventually, we started to come to terms with the Skiing Moguls down the slope, and after Jakovic had fired a few more attempts at the goal, (much to the despair of Gilly who would have cut off his right leg to receive a pass in the first half) he finally got a goal when some tight work by the byline gave him a yard of space to loft the ball over the keeper into the far corner.
Goals 2 and 3 soon followed before half time, with the OAP Scott Goodchild showing why he's the team's top scorer with a brilliantly disguised goal that to everyone (including himself) looked like a miss-hit cross, and a simple finish at the near post.. so simple in fact, we all thought it had gone behind off the keeper for a corner, which led to him using half time to complain that we don't celebrate his goals enough.. you know how old people can be sometimes...
HT 0-3
Despite the scorline at this point looking good for us, we were now facing up the slope, with the use of crampons required. We were given a warning when a free kick was guided home by a Cury player, whose fine header went unmerited due to a correct offside flag.
This was the weekly kick up the backside we needed, and we promptly scored 3 quick goals (including a lovely effort from Wozza, Jakovic's second and a tap in for Gilly) to put the result beyond doubt. To their credit, Cury never once gave up, and complained a whole lot less about the state of the pitch than we did! But by now the lads in front of me had the bit between their teeth, and goals 7, 8 and 9 followed (this time, a goal with his nipple from all of 0.7 inches by Wozza, Gilly with his second with a neat sidefoot after being played in, and a lovely effort from Andy Barry, who made a mockery of the conditions by dancing his way into the box like Wayne Sleep and firing in off the crossbar). Jakovic, with his 421st shot of the game, completed his hat trick for goal 10, which gave us the sufficient cushion we needed to send Ed Wilkes up front for the last 5 minutes to try and bag his first ever goal. The gamble paid off, as a John MacWilliams shot rebounded off the keeper to the feet of Ed, who from all of 40 yards out.. sorry, 4.0 yards out.. waited to make sure the cameras were filming and signed a few autographs, before smashing the ball as hard as he could towards the goal and send the Town lads into rapturous celebrations for him.. unfortunately, it came a couple of days too late for the transfer window, but he's hoping to start up front with Sergio Aguero come August.

All in all, Mother Nature ruined any chance of this ever being a decent game of football, and huge credit has to go to everyone at Cury for getting the game on, and somewhat biting the bullet in seeing their pitch now resemble Glastonbury Festival.

One might suspect that Mr Marks is a bit of a local footballing legend in the Camborne and Redruth area.. not that I've had the pleasure of meeting him.. he has been spotted at The Saltings with several pasties under each arm on occasion though :P

Halsetown 6 - 3 Rosudgeon

Halsetown Goalscorers:

Steve West x 2
Lawrence "The Cat" Kennedy
Luke Boughton
Ian Hodge

Halsetown 3 up after 20 apparently, 3-2 at HT, Got to 5-2 and then shared the last two goals. Apparently closer than the scoreline suggests, some defensive mistakes costing Rosudgeon

Division 2

Threemilestone 1 - 1 Halsetown Reserves

Decent result for me old mates, though I understand they were somewhat unlucky to come away with only a point.. a goalkeeping error leading to the TMS goal

Div 5

Helston 3 v Mabe 1

Hard earned 3 points against a resolute Mabe side. Kicking up the slope and against the wind in the first half on a heavy pitch, we were pleased to go in at half time level...and in fact had the better chances. second half were again made to work hard and the Mabe keeper made a couple of good one on one saves Helston eventually broke the deadlock when a Phil Black corner went straight in. Mabe fought hard and with 10 minutes left grabbed an equaliser. Looking like the points may be shared Helstons never say die attitude which has seen them score some late goals this season saw them grab to late goals through Craig Tanner and a header from the impressive Lee Pawley

Good game to play in. Troon always a tough game. It was a very competitive match from start to finish.</p></blockquote>

We possible felt we were a little hard done by not to earn atleast a point with the mawnan keeper pulled off 4/5 top draw save! But then we cleared a couple of the line and my back is still got a ball print from that block off you number 10s power drive ;)

Good luck to mawnan for the rest of the season

my ref report will be below 61 and i will take it further. For three reasons

1 opposition player punched one of my players...yellow

2 perran player clear thru on goal and scythed....yellow

3 opposition player already on a yellow and then just elbows a perran player in the hEAD

and if you really want to get picky then st just were just bad sportsmen in the final 20 mins

this was an extremely important game regarding relegation this season and i firmly believe we were cheated...sour grapes? you should know me by know i never complain without reason

This doesn't surprise me!

I've played St Just twice in my life and they've been a tad dirty both times.

Last season one of their players ran the length of he pitch and threw a diving head butt at our player!

Yea gotta agree with u there Yetti, we (Rosudgeon) started the first half poorly, found ourselves 3-0 down, defensive mix ups, and poor tackling, but we got back to 3-2 at the break.

Only for another poor start in the second half conceding early on again.

Halsetown were better in the final third than us, and deserved there win on the day.

We play them at our place next week in quarter final of the league cup next week.

Daniel Burt 2

Jamie Cree

As you said it was a relegation battle. We were hardly going to roll over and give you a win. If you come to St Just you should always expect a tough game. Didnt see any punches or elbows being thrown. How were we unsporting in the last 20mins?
