Droid
Div 2 Cury 5 : Frogpool 0 Well done to Cury who coped with the heavy muddy pitch better than us. We let in three awful goals in the first half and gave ourselves a mountain to climb. Cury had a good keeper today and my old pal Ben played up front and scored two good goals. We were awful and Cury played well so they deserved to win, no excuses. I think they may get a few results now.
Timbotastic
Trelawney 1 Perranporth 1-4 Rosudgeon (HT 0-2) Rosudgeon started the better and really ran out comfortable winners. Perranporth to there credit improved second half. And made it a much tighter affair. Perranporths keeper made some decent saves throughout including a good penalty save. scotchio
PERRANPORTH RESERVES 1 ROSUDGEON 4 A well contested encounter with the better team winning on the day HT 0-2 went 3-0 down shortly after half time then got it back to 3-1.Perranporth worked as a unit and battled really hard giving 110% and we certainly had our chances and rosudgeon knew they`d been in a game.I have to say i`m particularly pleased with my players.Yes we lost but its the manner in which we lost that fills me with hope for the rest of the season.I don`t like losing but i`m very proud of my players today as they showed some real grit and determination and but for better finishing and arguably some decisions going our way we could have got this result much closer Have to say the rosudgeon lads fight hard but fair and they are a great bunch of lads and we all at perran wish them well for the rest of the season

bluenose
Div 5 Trevenson Res 2 - 10 Marazion Res Glad that today's game went ahead after seeing so many games cancelled. The pitch being a school one was small and had been cut up pretty badly. Trevenson showed a lot of grit early on and for the first 15 minutes they kept it at 0-0. Then a sweeping move from right to left saw Matty Thomas rifle one past the keeper. We then scored a couple more in quick succession though Liam Mooney and Craig Rennard. Tevenson then got one back when our offside trap went AWOL and their striker stabbed it past Eric. It wasn't long until the three goal advantage was restored when a Trevenson defender cut out a cross but put in straight past his keeper. Liam got his second and then third just before half time leaving us 6-1 up. During the second half the pitch was cutting up more and more making it hard for both sides to play much football. We scored further goals through Matty, Stevie Hunt, Jason O'Sullivan and a Dale Vigus penalty. Trevenson scored again when again our offside failed and after a scramble they managed to prod it over the line. 3 good points on a difficult pitch. Trevenson battled until the final whistle and their keeper made numerous class saves to keep the score down. The game was well reffed although there were a few wreckless challenges that needed a few words. Looking forward to another big game next week against Hayle 4ths in the cup. Eric Sleeman Jamie Mooney James Burlingham Scott James Adam Martin Adam Caul Sanjay Vadgama Mark Hampton Craig Rennard 1 Steve Hunt 1 Dale Vigus 1 Matt Thomas 2 Liam Mooney 3 Jason O'Sullivan 1 OG 1 MOM - Adam Caul, set up several goals and won everything at the back. flipt17
Division 3 Gulval Reserves: 2 vs 3 Goonhavern: Both teams started brightly on a very sodden, heavy pitch and to be fair both teams didn't stop working for 90 mins. The scoreline probably doesn't show a fair reflection of the amount of chances both teams had (should of been about 7-5 ), but on the day the Goons managed to get the ball in the net 1 more time than us. Bobbles and adrenalin were the factors which did not work in the home sides favour. Fair play to Goonhavern, they worked their bollocks off and got their rewards with a contender for goal of the month from the guy (Steve) in the middle who was a constant physical threat and won the game making it 2-3. After being 0-2 down at halftime Gulval showed the character and spirit which comes with putting that orange jersey on, and found ourselves 2-2 after a "tidy" finish from the "non-stop runner" Dan Hopkins and Tanz the "Salmon". This report will not mention the pile-driver from Ellis which made it 3-3 with about 4 mins to go. What a great performance from Gulval today: Sean, in nets put in another game changing performance, John and TJ looked unmoveable alongside Bellers, who as usual was the eye-catching player from the game. Si Smith offered a constant threat down the left, as did young Tom (who seems to get better with every game). Crazy Joe Booker was his; hard tackling and composed self, Matty put in a true captains performance with little Tanz trying to keep up . Dan Hopkins finally got a reward for his tireless effort, which was duly deserved. Ellis......only the lino can explain why you haven't got a goal next to your name tonight, but regardless, another faultless performance. Scotty came on and proved what a difference an impact sub can make, great effort. Reasonably well reffed in sticky conditions. Both teams were well up for it today and put on a great game for the neutral. Bring on next week

Wendron thru & thru
Div 4 wendron 0 - 10 Hayle Where 2 start on 2days game first of all the pitch was awful and was like a mud bath! anyway Hayle took the lead when there was a mix up in defence between the wendron defender and keeper and Hayley's striker nick in and put it in 2 take the lead! Wendron did have a good chance 2 get level when keir dent did the hard work gettin past 3 players but then hit it over when only the keeper 2 beat and really shud of done a lot better with it. Then the game changing decision in my eyes when a Hayle player took a shot and hit the wendron player in the arm which was rite dwn by his side (never a pen) and the ref (who was ******* awful 2day,dnt like saying that but it's true, some of his decisions through out the game were shocking) gave a pen which Hayle scored from 2 make it 2-0 but with the wendron central midfield player still arguing about the decision, the ref didn't like wot he was sayin and sent him off! Dwn 2 10 men with 75mins of the game left against the team that is top of the league, there was only goin 2 b one out come! Hayle made it 3-0 just before halftime. After the break Hayle quickly Made it 4-0 with a good finish by there striker. Then when wendron were getting ready 2 restart the game the hopeless ref didn't like something else the other central midfield player of wendron said (I was 2 far away 2 knw wot was said) and sent him off! So wendron were 4-0 dwn with 9 men and the rest is history as they say! Shame the ref ruined wot could of been a good game of football with so many poor decisions through out! cornishman
What wasnt said on posts for this game was that both Wendron players had already been booked for bad challenges and had both been warned by the ref for language directed at the ref not in general play which he let go for both sides. I was not surprised they walked and to threaten the ref in fun or not was distasteful and the Wendon players will no doubt have longer bans as a result. Felt sorry for the rest of the Wendron players who only wanted a decent game which it could have been and the sending offs finished Wendron off as a threat. They never stopped trying though even with 9 players. Fair play to Hayle also who never gave up playing good attacking football on the deck on a pitch which was just about playable at the start and looked like the moon at the end. peggy78
Football is a game of 2 halves, apparently. If ever that addage rang true, it was this match. I'm still scratching my head as to how we came awy from this game with nothing. We dominated the 1st half and created numerous chances that unfortunately we couldn't convert, short of a David Mitchell run and shot which slipped through the hayle keepers hands. It wasn't through lack of effort, but we didn't quite get the breaks in the 6 yard box. In truth, we could and probably should have been 5 or 6 up at the break but a late header in the first half saw us go in 1-1 after hayle swung a deep cross into the box and the header was put away. Whatever was said to the hayle boys at half time bucked their ideas up and they had the lions share of possession after the break. They scored with a break away goal, but this was one of a number of chances they created in the second 45 whilst we never found the rhythm and fluency that was evident in our first half display. Although we have been on the bad end of a few results this season, this is one of the tougher to take. Well done hayle for coming away with the 3 points but a truly good game of football that, despite the result, was thoroughly enjoyable to be involved in. Deano11
Couple of points to the Wendron Vs Hayle game. Hayle are a great footballing side who have clearly been playing together a long time and all credit must go to their captain who was a credit to his performance and his attitude through out the game. But never I have seen such a poor or one sided performance from a ref than this game. Check all my posts I always make a point of giving praise to refs, there are some great ones out there Mike carter, both the nigels for example. But as I said to him his performance on sat would have got me the sack if I performed like this in my day job. The red cards, well the first was a red card. You cant go up to the ref and say what he said. I understand the players fustration as he made some great tackles including one in front of the ref but for him to give a free kick was a disgrace. The reaction was poor though. When you go down to 10 men against Hayle a good footballing side you are in trouble, 11 against 11 was a good battle which could have gone either way. with 10 you are struggling, at 5 nil when you lose another you are screwed, and I think Wendron just gave up after this. Wendron all game understood the ref may call it wrong, indeed it is a game of opinions, but just asked for consistency. but to send off players and book players for swearing or asking the ref for inspiration which the second red card was for, but then allow Hayles number 3 to call 3 different players F######## W###### and P##### (and the ref heard this every time) yet did nothing showed a strong bias. No question at all about this With regards to the pitch, well I have never been asked to help and indeed if I had time and was asked I would help. I and I know most of players were not aware that we were advised the pitch will cut up. All credit must go to the pitch staff as in Jan the pitches are looking great - maybe not so after sat but such is life. All credit to hayle for the result and performance, as I say a great young footballing side who play in the right way and spirit, all credit to wendrons remaining players for the effort they have shown, all credit to the grounds man, and finally to the ref please dont perform like this again. marrabean
Being the second player to get sent off I feel I must defend myself a little bit! First yellow was for a missed timed tackle, could of been a straight red in all fairness, but the ref bottled it, like he did 20seconds after that challenge when some lad ran half the pitch to push me in the chest- raising your hands straight red no questions! Second yellow card was for saying whilst waiting to take a kick off- "Here ref whilst we have a minute fancy giving us a few words of inspiration" - to which most people chuckled, ref had a sense of humour failure! This subject about me threatening a referee has to stop now. I have never and will never threaten a ref! I may say things in jest in the bar about refs and sometimes after a few scoops may bore the mrs about refs but never have I threatened a ref! I asked to speak to him about my second booking to which he walked away in a very pompous manner (may I add at this point that at no point did I swear or raise my voice)! I must also add that as the referee was reversing out of the busy car park I offered him assistance so as he didnt crash to which he smiled and gave me a thumbs up- does this strike you as the acts of a man wishing to cause physical harm to someone?? I fully appreciate that there is a shortage of refs in the county/country but the performance of this referee was pitifull to say the least and I am not just saying this because he sent me off! Football for me is fun, for christ sake we are playing trelawny four and that bloke was acting like it was an FA cup final but believe me this bloke is no Howard Webb. I am not knocking professionalism or pride in doing a job to your best ability but if that was his best then I am sorry son but do one! If in anyway my actions on the pitch have disgraced the good name of Wendron then I hold my hands up and take full responsibility. I normally have a good relationship with referees, granted I normally collect a few cards but that is what a physical games is about! Best of luck to hayle who played good football and even with 11 men we would have struggled against a classy outfit, a team definitelty ready to play in a higher league! joejellico
as manager of hayle 4ths i feel i must come on here to point out that the team is built up from last years u/16s, including my two sons and nephew. also most of the others i have managed in various youth teams through out the years. we are by no means superstars. just a bunch of mates who want to play for each other. the whole club has been reinforced by last years and this years u/16s. hayles youth policy is finally bearing fruit, just like i knew it would. i wouldnt like to say we could beat our 3rds because they also have a good side. we just take every game as it comes and enjoy our footy wether we win or lose. hopfully we can climb up the leagues until we reach our level. but saying that there are some good sides in trelawney 4 who should be playing an higher standard. its not anyones fault that teams are put in the leagues thier in. it will take at least 5 years before the leagues sort them selves out. until then we must get on with it the best we can

Biggreengiant
In my opion the ref didnt have as bad a game as the wendron lads are trying to make out.Yes ok a few of the challenges were not that bad but you cant then get in the refs face calling him an f*** c**t, he let the swearing go a few times and gave you plenty of warning. the first was def a red and as for the second red, jesus he did not stop moaning was giving everyone a bloody headache!! would happily have that ref again cause in all honesty there are far worse out there!
