matt george
Martin Watts was the only 1st team member who played, part of his rehab from a long term injury, would have been in first team squad if game not postponed.
derek martyn
Full credit to Truro on an excellent away win. They are a good young side who would be up near the top 5 this season without the points deduction.
truthbetold
Ain't it time some of the young local boys got a chance at hayle. With nothing to win now and clearly no team spirit what have you to loose.

With nothing to win now and clearly no team spirit what have you to loose. Having watched thie game all Hayle lacked was a GOAL scorer. Truro keeper was my man of match with a string of 2nd half saves keeping them in the game. Don't recall Hayle keeper having a save to make apart from goal. Youngsters are getting a chance as the lad who played up front was just turned 16. Pitch also held up well which is why it's one of the best around in ALL LEAGUES. Rayvon
A competitive game played on a heavy pitch no cards that i can remember.Scot palmer scored the only goal after 8 minutes, credit to the groundsman.Hayle put a lot of pressure on in the last 15 minutes but some fine saves from luke payne who was my man ot the match.Good size crowd 100 approx all pleased to be able to watch a game of football. Rayvon
Cant argue with you skyblueref about the pitch a superb playing surface. Was an injury to martin watts who went off near the end hopefully it is nothing serious,he has only just started his comeback after a serious injury sustained at salisbury city two seasons ago. S Abbo
Not a bad game to watch.. Hayle put a lot of pressure on Truro second half. Should of scored a few! Goal for Truro was great finish. However agreed lacking a goal scorer

joejellico
Ain't it time some of the young local boys got a chance at hayle. With nothing to win now and clearly no team spirit what have you to loose. thats a bit unfair on reno and mark cause theyve been playing a few 16year olds in and out all season. 9 players from last seasons u/16s are playing in the 1sts ,2nds.3rd and 4ths through out the club. reno his allways asking about thier progress. as for saying theres no team spirit well i can asure you they have plenty of that. we have great banter in the club house after each game,no matter what the result. yes we are missing an out and out striker at the moment having just lost ross duncan with a broken leg from the dobwells game. but believe me we have a very happy atmosphere throughout the club. thank you for your concern though and happy new year to you :drink:
cornishteddyboy
Hayle are having to rebuild their sides this season. They had four decent sides last season with lots of player movement between the teams but at the start of this season quite a few players ran off and formed Marazion Reserves in Trelawny Division 5. This has left a gap in the club and hence there are several slots that need and haven't been filled yet. Give them a break this season and I reckon next year they will be a force to be reckoned with in all leagues.
sp17
Hayle have been struggling with players.... So have Truro. The transfer embargo along with players not willing to stick by the club through the difficult times had left them in a bad state of affairs. But credit to those that have stuck with the club, they have a great team spirit and some quality players. But dispute all that without the ten point deduction they would be pushing for the top spots in the league. Hopefully a strong finish to the league will see then climb the table. Dave Deacon
I think Tom Hall scored both Liskeard's goals. His second in my opinion being the best of the match, and for a moment following that goal Liskeard looked as if they were going to get back in the game. Have to say attendance was disappointing considering not much other choice around!
DanBlazey
Agree Dave, but many wouldn't have given this a chance of being on and would have made other plans.
Home Waters
Paul said on 12th Dec - ''This must have so close to being called off. Walking out the ground afterwards a few Parkway people were looking at the pitch. You poor sods. Thats gona take a bit of work to put that right.'' Hope your supporters didn't think the same !!!!!! Dave Deacon
Pitch at St Blazey yesterday after the game was much, much better than Bodmin's after Boxing Day match. I would imagine the St Blazey's groundsman would have been quite content at the lack of cutting up. Congratulations to the club in getting it staged. Paul
I agree Dave. Pitch held up very well. You could have played on it straight away. The difference with St Blazeys pitch is the fact its all to do with the river and the tide as mad as that sounds. No problem for either side playing on that pitch yesterday. Crowd was poor but local crowds are dropping like a stone. With the chance it was gona be off then im not that surprised. St Blazey away at Bovey then Withy. Wonder if the weather will put paid to these long away trips.
BullHead
hayle showed good spirit second half and deserved at least a point, the young lad who came on up top at half time changed the game, thought he had great movement and showed he was eager to get on the ball...although he's a strapping lad and looked at least 18/19. would like to see him get more minutes in future games, but i suppose thats up to reno and mark. Wonder if the weather will put paid to these long away trips. Simples. Tide in the water table is higher, tide out or falling, water attracts water and will pull water out of the table like squeezing a sponge - some Dutchmans theory - forgot his name. The theory is used in designing drainage systems, but will still work wether there is a drainage system or not. Problem is - it works both ways !!!! if you follow my drift.
