Gossip man
Probably a question for Dave Deacon, what has happened to the combo reports in The Sunday Independant, over the last 4-5 weeks hardly any reports at all, just 1 this morning penryn v Pendeen,
Soccer Follower
I doubt whether Dave can shed any light,it's probably a matter for the editor of the paper itself.
Richard Chown
Just out of interest is there a requirement for all clubs to send reports to the Sunday Independent/Main Stream Media? If so why don't clubs place all reports on here as well.
Pitty
Doug Williams from the independent who phones all the clubs every Saturday after the game went in for a minor op at the end of October. Since then we (Holmans) have not recieved any phone calls from the independent so i would guess Doug is still convalescing (Get well soon Doug)

Dave Deacon
Not actually my remit to reply on behalf of the newspaper, but I hope its ok to mention that I did learn recently from the Sports Editor, John Collings, that Douglas Williams, their Jolly's man for many a year now, is recovering from an operation. truros mr mourinho
he got sent off one game ,for having to much baby oil on his legs. :SM_carton:
RAPPO
That was crisp and dry mate!! Baby oil was too expensive!!! Used to mix some of physio Rocky Renders horse linament in with it when I was down Falmouth, never had cold legs even up Appledore in January bud!!! Yeh Kempy, got sent off once down Bickland, Senior cup qtr final, losing 0-2 to Port and we had a pen ten minutes to go, smashed it down the middle past Gary Penhaligon, got the ball out the net and was running back to the centre circle when Jeweller, Johnny Burrows, Charlie Legg, Bleasy etc blocked me path, Sage and Sledge joined in, bit of a free for all punches wise and me and Jeweller got sent off and ended up in front of the FA up St.Austell sticking up for each other saying ref Malcolm West over reacted got our bans reduced and then we had a night out in Chicago Rock together!!! Love Jeweller, just one of those things that happens in a big game really. Remember a bad tackle on a Ludgvan defender when I played for Penryn combo and Pearcey was that chuffed that I actually got mad and had a go he paid for the booking himself!! That's about it really though mate, you know me, pretty laid back, don't agree with having a go at refs, its a tough job already, maybe an odd offside from a Lino but that's it? :-)

Dave Deacon
No it was Steve Jewell. Great memories of great games when the fact that a tackle could be made and enhanced the drama and tension for the next "tackle"! Controlled aggression? :)
