Paul
St Blazey continued their good start to the season with a solid performance against their western league rivals. Left home at 11am think that would be more than enough time to get there even with a bit of holiday traffic!! WRONG!! What a nightmare!! Queues at Bodmin, then 5 mile queues to get on the M5!! Then we crawled all the way up the motoway. Had to laugh at the signs flashing at us to keep to 50 miles per hour....If we were doing 50 that would have superb!! Got to 40 at one point, then another stop and crawl job. Then got lost in road works in Bristol (what a dump that is) and even got stuck behind a tractor in Brizzel, german tourists, learner driver, and anthing else that barly moves over 30 miles per day!! Finally pulled into the car park at 3.40pm. Managed to see the last couple minutes of the 1st half. Thank god for mobile phones. By then we were already 2-0 up. A few players were still behind us including Scott Palmer so Philpy stuck on some Marrigolds and got stuck in. So im told, pulled off some cracking saves by all accounts. As soon as Scotty turned up Philpy had had enough and took himself off. Dont think hell be doing to much tomorrow with his aching limbs!! As for the ground, its very old and crusty. Pitch didnt seem to bad. Just shows how the Western league is of a poor standard and certainly no better then the SWPL. St Blazey had so many chances to score. It was almost to easy. A good result, a bit of money in the bag, and we look forward to a much tougher match at Paulton Rovers. Well done the lads.

Paul
Nanks, are you staying with St Blazey? All seems to be looking good so far so it would be good to see everyone stick around. St Blazey had a good following but i was well surprised at the poor support for the home side!! Out numbered them easily!! Roll on Paulton Rovers.
