Torpoint got back to winnning ways with this hard fought victory at 'The Mill' against a physical Liverton who had a few yellow cards during the game.

Torpoint had the better of the first half with of plenty of chances. The Point made it 1-0 on 28 minutes with a 25 yard lobb of the keeper by Paul Baker. Liverton levelled the scores on 42 minutes with a simple tapp in by Jordan Lamm after a defensive mix up which ended Lamm getting hold of the loose ball.

In the second half Liverton put Torpoint under pressure with a few chances in the first 20 minutes, but Torpoint got the winning goal in the 76th minute when a Jimmy Alexander sweet free kick on the far right, found Josh Fenwick leeping up to nod home from 5 yards.

Torpoint fought hard to keep the lead, which they did and claim their 5th league win of the season and jump a place in the league to 14th and are now level on points with Liverton.
