The Elder
Is it just me or is the standard of SW football a lot poorer than "back in the day" 15 years or so ago? I've watched matches in the east, west and my beloved ashes in the prem and the odd toolstation match and to me out of all the leagues there are only a handful of clubs try to play football and actually succeed at playing football on a regular basis. Before I used to want to go watch a local game on a drizzly winters afternoon, now I seem to go watch games more out of habit than desire as most sides appear to play long ball / kick and rush rather than playing football and try to run at a man and beat him with pace. I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks this.
sportsman10
Your correct in what your saying. I played in a south western league that was packed with great teams and players . The games I see now just filled with players that wouldn't even make the bench of the teams down the years.
