Peninsula Premier

Liskeard 1 - 1 Camelford (0 - 0 HT)

Have to say, a disappointing performance from the Camels today, after a run of five great wins against tough opposition, they should feel lucky to come away from Lux Park with a point. Although missing three influential midfield players, there were no real excuses for a lack lustre first half and passing and effort from both teams was pretty poor. However, the Camels were the first to score in the second half through Marc Gusterson, after one of their better spells of play, and were unlucky not to go two up a little later. The introduction of three subs from Liskeard made them look more dangerous and it wasn't long before they were back on level terms, with a bit of a lucky and scrappy goal. Liskeard continued to press for a winner and were unlucky not to score again, after the ball rebounded off both crossbar and post within close succession. The Camels have Josh Colwill to thank for some great goalkeeping and players and fans alike appeared relieved when the final whistle was blown.

Even the professional teams have their off days and still pick up points, so hopefully this could prove an important point at the end of the season for the Camels!

Mousehole 1 - 2 Wadebridge Town

Where to start. Credit to Mousehole for a battling display, they never gave up and have improved on last year.

Wadebridge started well and were rewarded early on when a Paul Cox cross was converted by Shane Looker at the front post. Other chances missed and head into the break at 1-0.

A complacent lacklustre bridge start to the second half resulted in the mousehole striker capitalising on a defensive error. Goal completely against the run of play and only ourselves to blame.

Further chances for bridge with 30 mins to go and the ball still wouldn't go in, hitting the post and the mousehole keeper making some great saves..

Huge relief when 10 mins from time Liam Ames strikes a bouncing ball into the floor goal wards which deflects off the defender into the net.

24 shots in total for bridge, 2 for mousehole, off day for us, just glad to get the 3 points.

Mousehole at home in the charity cup next week and a point now to prove.

Camelford remind me of that poem with the little girls curl. When they are good they are very very good but when they are bad they are horrid, they were horrid at Liskeard although they did have Dan Balsdon out injured and Josh Insley and Andy Boxall also out. No worries though next game Penzance away on Wednesday.

I think you mis-interpreted me, what I meant was although it was a bad performance yesterday no need to panic, can put it right Wednesday regardless of the opposition. Penzance look to be improving all the time, so it won't be easy.

Nope..... Everyone knows what you are are saying..... Just admit that you expect 3 pts......people will respect you more for being truthful?

I do not tell lies so please don't tell me what i am saying. I have been around football long enough to know that you never take anything for granted. I never disrespect anyone or any team, i just want the Camels to play as they have been playing before yesterday regardless of who the opposition are, if they don't they could lose to anyone so not expecting anything at the moment.

I read it the way you saw it at first, but I believe a lack of a comma sent the intended statement out of context:

No worries though next game Penzance away on Wednesday.

Should have been

No worries though, next game Penzance away on Wednesday.

My 2 cents
