Bit surprised the game is off, would have been a good watch. There would only have been 1 missing from the squad that beat tavistock 5-2 with joe truelove coming back in so i sont think that would have any bearing on the game being off. Most of the players mentioned in the herald have been missing for large parts of the season already anyway.

St Dennis 3-2 perrenporth

Saints goals :

Carl ricks

Ryan hayhurst

Lee ricks

Perren goals :

Chris brown (og)

???????

3-0 up and cruising, then conceded 2 sloppy goals gave it an intense finish for us, defending well in the closing stages, but never the less. 3 points. Andy butcher sent off in goal for perrenporth in the last couple mins of play, some would argue, he was last man and others that thought the ball was traveling away from goal, maybe a yellow would have surviced, but that was the way it was for perrenporth today. Any how I felt we deserved the 3 points.

Throgmorton Cup - 2nd Round

Camelford 4 - 0 Holsworthy

Camels scorers: Charlie Barnes, Dan Balsdon, Marc Gusterson & Will Cherrill

A very comfortable win for the Camels today, could have been a lot more. Credit to Holsworthy for not giving up! Good Luck to them for the rest of the season.

Fair assessment of the game Lee, you could and should have been 3-4 goals up at half time, Perranporth had just one shot in the first half! Although they were much better in the second half and yet Saints could still have added more goals. I thought Chalky ran the show (he reminds me of Warney!) until he tired a bit to-wards the end of the game. The sending off was a bit harsh but I think the ref had made up his mind as he had so much whinging and back chat all game from all the Perranporth players and bench, Look forward to meeting you guys in a couple of weeks time in the Charity cup!

Throgmorton Cup second round Ivybridge Town v Bodmin Town postponed – Waterlogged pitch

Surprised at that - it's a lovely dry sunny day in Plymouth. And yesterday was the same.

I see from the preview in last night's Herald that Ivybridge have a number of players not available............

If you go to SWPL website it clearly states that the match ref or an alternative ref (that's if the match ref has to far to travel) deems the pitch playable or not, so your question has been answered as to if the pitch has been inspected.

Last nights herald also stated that a number of players were free from work commitments that were available!!

Where was your comments on the game that was called off due to "floodlight failure"?

You could go and inspect the pitch yourself, then you'll know for sure, otherwise, you'll have to except that the inspecting ref has made the correct call!!

Yeah must totally agree with everything you've said there Beemerz . . .

What a game - well worth the entrance fee.

Felt hard done by being 2 down at half time as game was fairly even. Within 2 minutes of 2nd half 3 down.

But full credit to Dobwalls lads . . . they were never beaten and never stopped believing that they could get something out of this game.

Dobwalls goals from Joe Eke (very brave header 1 on 1 with keeper), 2 from Harry Hook, Matt Glendenning screamer from 25 yards and a worldy from Simon Skews.

Couple special mentions - Simon Skews on his return to club was outstanding. Delivery on both feet was right on the money and his goal was class. Ran 40 yards beating 3 or 4 payers before siding it just wide of the keeper. Also making his debut was Ash O'Rourke who was probably our best player and finally Harry Hook who scored 2, the 2nd was a superb lob from tight angle. Harry ran himself into the ground and then showed some real class when he had the ball to feet.

All in all a good afternoon in Newton Abbot for us and we've been rewarded with a Premier club in the next round.

Hi MQ,

2 for them both for 2 yellows and 1 for us which was my baby bro, Nick Blake.

Nick had ball smashed at him from 2 yards. Turned his back on it and it hit his arm . . . . 9 times out of 10 ref would say ball to hand.

Nick simply couldn't get out the way. Ref said he was last man and it was deliberate so sent him off . . . . straight red !!! Gutted for the lad.

Cheers. Mark

Wadebridge 1 - 2 Tavistock

Tavistock scored 2 second half goals to recover from their first half deficit.

A strong first half performance from the bridge resulted in a nick dowling corner being headed home by the in form Dan Jennings. further chances for Jennings and Menhinick in the first half.

Second half Tavistock responded making full use of their aerial prowess. First goal was a corner headed in, the second a well worked cross with the striker splitting the two defenders.

A controversial decision at 1-0 in the second half , dan Jennings goal side of the defender and taken out but no penalty awarded. Further Jennings found himself on the floor after one of the defenders hit out but no action.

Decisions aside we take heart from a solid performance vs higher league opposition. We wish Tavistock well in the next round.

Saltash 5-2 Teignmouth

Brilliant game, to think before hand that it may have been an easy Saltash win after Teignmouth were beaten by a big score last week. Saltash playing good football and Teignmouth just going for it. Hadn't seen many Throgmorton games before but this was a good tie.
