SWPL Results & Table - WEDNESDAY 17TH OCTOBER 2012

Recommended Posts

Snozzell 0-3 camelford ft

A comfortable win for the Camels, Snozzel played some nice stuff at times with no end product, after going a goal down didn't really have any answers, and after the keeper was sent off and a penalty awarded there was only one winner. Well done Camels 4 wins in a row against some tidy opposition.

Three points and yet another excellent team performance all round for the Camels tonight in front of a good crowd (approx 130), probably boosted by the fact St. Blazey's game was off. The weather was awful at the start with strong winds and heavy rain and almost all the supporters in the grandstand. However, it improved after about 15 minutes with the wind dropping considerably and the rain stopping, which made for an entertaining match.

On a good run at the moment Camels, keep it up!

Having watched Camelford a few times this season there last few results have surprised me. I thought they'd be amongst the bottom few but they've taken some big scalps lately (Saltash, St Blazey and St Austell. Can the bigger teams not cope with there 'get it forward to the big men as soon as possible' style of play. Good luck to them I say, nice to see that different styles of play can be successful.

Mp6 you clearly haven't watched us very often. We don't lump it as you put it. The saltash chairman couldn't praise our football highly enough and if you ask st blazey, liskeard and pretty much everyone else we've played they would all say we've tried to play. Weds we may have been slightly more direct than normal but the pitch wasn't ideal for pretty football. We didn't start the season well but we have never 'lumped' it.

Camelford played some good foootball at pace against St Blazey. Cant say the kick and rush stuff did it. Id probably say on the day Camelford won the game when they didnt have the ball. Gave St Blazey no chance to play and broke play up quickly allowing them to attack.

Their on a good run. Nothing much in the top ten so far.

Bodmin and Parkway 1st and 2nd with a whole host of clubs fighting for the rest.
