Camelford 6v1 St Blazey. Still a couple minutes to go. Camelford superb throughout. Disapointing but got what they desearved. Poor showing. On that performance how have Camelford lost so many?

Certainly blowing hot and cold of late. Points dropped against Elburton, gave a lesson to Tavy in midweek, then given a lesson today. Bet you lot were pulling your hair out in the Clubhouse after the game

Helston 3-0 St Dennis

Goldsworthy (2) 1 pen

Stidwell

Felt the score line flattered helston, our beat performance of the season by far and it's really disappointing not to walk away with anything.

But a lot of positives to take.

Hedgerow, Gave Tavy a lesson! Two schoolboy errors and two balls over the top with Tavy chasing the game. Played Penzance today and their assistant manager commented on watching this midweek game and said Tavy had 80% possesssion and couldnt believe the scoreline. Even Chitty (centrehalf) said in the bar afterwards it wasnt a 4.0 game. Admittedly you have a better team than last year and I hope you continue your good form.Dont want to see a club like Blazey end up like last season.

Guess you have nothing to report on last nights games then Dave.

Not sure if you mean me or not, but I'm actually away on holiday at the moment and so all I know is via 3rd parties on here really.

I would have to say though that it seems that Newquay are continuing to find the step up a little more challenging than they probably expected, while it was good to see that Elburton got off to a winning way under their new lights, even if it was at the expense of Cornish opposition! :)

SWPL - Premier

Camelford 6 - 1 St. Blazey (3 - 1 HT)

A second brilliant performance by the Camels in a week, this time against a much improved St. Blazey team from last season. A hat-trick from Charlie Barnes, and further goals from Marc Gusterson, Leighton Carhart and Josh Insley piled on the misery for St. Blazey who are currently top of the table after an excellent start to the season. Leaving the field totally dejected and wondering what had gone wrong, in contrast the Camels were buzzing with their superb team display and full credit to them for another great result !

Certainly a mixed bag of results at the moment. Maybe seeing us top right now gets the thoughts of silverware flowing but we should be thank full that Bobby has helped turn around the football fortunes of St Blazey.

Looking at recent results, Theres only two sides who can win this league. Bodmin and Parkway. Both unbeaten and picking up good results. Clubs will take points of these sides but they just cant keep that performance up week in week out. St Blazey and Saltash prime examples. Launceston smashed for 7 by Bodmn, Tavi lossing against the top sides, St Austell lossing to many and the chasing pack beating each other.

Its going to take a massive upset for the champions and runners up to be any one but Bodmin and Parkway.

At 3-1 we missed a sitter and had a good shout for a penalty turned down. It could have made for a different game. After that though Camelford scored 3 and could have had more. One great shot that smashed against the bar.

At least we have a game on tuesday to try and put things right straight away at Falmouth.

Heard that there were one or two little rumblings of discontent with some of Bobby's tactics and team selections , anything in this ?

Personally I think that Bobby deserves loyalty for the way he stuck with it last season , but is he the man to take the club forward ?

Callington 4-0 Sticker

very flattering scoreline for Cally as Sticker dominated the first 65mins. Don't think Cally had more than one shot from a free kick until they scored via an unlucky deflection, then scored again from a piece of brilliance from Andy (the sausage) Sargent. From that moment on we lost our shape and Cally took control scoring two soft goals as we got exposed.

If we'd scored first I think we would have gone on to win, but goals change games and Cally scored at the right time and our naivety, and Cally's extra bit of quality in front of goal, began to show.

All in all can't complain, Cally worked hard soaked it up and hit us when the gaps appeared. We played some great football but need to learn quickly that it's not just about what you do when you've got the ball!

Don't think there's too much wrong with St Blazey's tactics they played some nice football at times. Camelford played very, very well and it would have been difficult for any team at Trefrew yesterday. The defence was solid as usual, the midfield ran and ran all game and the forwards were on fire. I've seen Camelford's "in yer face" tactic's upset a lot of good footballing teams over the years and when they get their footballing game going as well, they are good to watch. I'm a real expert, since I posted "Camels couldn't score in a brothel" they've scored 17 in 4 games!

Not taking anything from Camelford as they were clearly much better than Blazey yesterday but Blazey really did have a mare. Complete turn around from Wednesday.

IIRC four of the goals came directly from Blazey misplacing short passes and frankly those goals were gifted to Camels. There were a lot more errors that should have been punished and we were lucky not to lose by more. This was about as bad as the Hayle game a few weeks ago but we were spanked by a bigger margin by virtue of playing against better opponents.

We're a different team without Josh Sims.

The last 4 games has been the first time Camelford have had a settled side out. Reg has been forced in to several changes with players playing in different positions making it hard to find a rythm. The last 4 games have shown what we are capable of. Great players at Camelford and best thing is the average age is around 23, so hopefully exciting times ahead.

Wadebridge 4 - 0 Truro City reserves

Another 3 points for the bridge with a convincing win over a useful Truro City side. Bridge defence solid throughout and rarely looked troubled. Dan Jennings with all four goals and full of confidence at the moment. Callington on Tuesday to provide for a tough test. Looking for a response after our 4-1 loss at the end of last season.
