Parkway 3 Bovey Tracey 0 (Chris Wright 2,Ryan Richards ) HT 0-0

Turned into a good win for Parkway on a cold,wet night in front of a pretty small crowd .Completely forgettable first half from both sides ( kept thinking that Ray Winstone's head was going to appear and offer the odds on a no-score draw) turned into a second half in which Parkway huffed and puffed ,but were denied by a combination of wayward finishing and the inspired goalkeeping of Tom Brooks in the Bovey Tracey goal .Luckily we had the ace poacher Chris Wright,borrowed from Buckland for the evening along with Danny Lewis ,on as a substitute to convert pressure into two well taken goals .Ryan Richards ran through late in the game to slot in the third and to round off a win from the sort of game I've seen Parkway drop silly points in before .

Three wins from four in the league , a nice unbeaten start .

Was interesting to see our General Manager deep in conversation with a certain Truro City striker before the game as well .Might he be looking for a club to play for in the near future ?

Elburton then pushed the self destruct button with 2 players (Crowley and Rundle) receiving straight red cards for two x rated tackles. I'm just glad the ashes finished the game without any major injuries.

We definitely missed Gav Coulton (hamstring) and Sam Hughes (work). 4 goals scored without a recognised striker on the pitch.

Next Game.......,Bodmin Away on Friday. If I'm honest, I'm not expecting anything from that one!

We win 4-0 put in arguably one are of our most complete performances of the year, and yet we missed "Our best players"??? Their is no way Dudley can change the 11 that played last night for the Bodmin game!!! From what I saw neither was missed. (Especially Coulton who would have probably got sent off in a game like that)

Any team who is going to beat Bodmin will need to be at the very top of their game and will need to play their strongest available team. So I'm sure Sam Hughes will be in the starting 11.

That's my view, but I'm sure you will have something to say about it, I do however agree with your comment that if Gav played last night, I don't think he would have still been on the pitch after 90 mins. Elburton aren't a particularly skilful side, they just try and disrupt the oppositions game.

ThePragmatist i agree, Gav was lucky to stay on the pitch against Torpoint last week in a game that wasn't really as fiesty as it couldve been so probably wouldve been a matter of minutes in a physical game. Although he does look to be a key player in the Saltash squad he does need to eradicate that part of his game.

The fact you won 4-0 and said you definitely missed them is a strange comment. I could understand if you scrapped a 1-0 and said it but you didn't, hence my comment. I agree you need your best players, but maybe they have Winning formula without them. After all elburton where top 3 start of the game and you comfortably beat them without them, whereas torpoint where bottom 4 and you couldn't beat them with your "best players " in your side. Just a thought

just dont understand the logic ,if your short on players why not give the 2nd team a chance to step up .. drafting in players against teams you should beat at home anyway seems bizzare . who was dumped on the bench to make way ??

For me Hillson is running Parkway like a sunday team...... Bringing in players from higher level football for mid week games is un heard of at peninsula level. That is something id expect from a pub side, top managers work with what they've got within the club.

The actual squad cant be happy, Great start to the season but if he starts to lose the dressing room that will soon change.

Great result for bridge tonight, 1st half played dobwalls off the park, 4-0 HT. second half different, credit to dobwalls who showed some fight and pulled a goal back through a weavin jack Bartlett run, hit the post late on also with bridge counter attacking. Dan Jennings with a tidy finish late on to make it 5. 4 wins from 4. Travel to hayle for a tough game sat.

Penzance 0v7 St Blazey.

Much more like it. Scored some good goals tonight. This was going to be a no win situation tonight for St Blazey after beating Pz 11v0 on the opening day. After saturdays poor showing they would have been expected to bouce back but they had to go out and do the job and that they did. 3 points in the bag and now a tricky trip to Elburton and then Tavistock at home on wednesday night.

Pz looked alot better than the opening day and I really hope they stay up. One of the best away days of the season especially under lights and the K.F.C on the way home wasnt bad either!!
