Mike Odgers Posted September 23, 2012 Report Share Posted September 23, 2012 Looking at an old Helston programme from 1965 the notes said that Penzance didnt wish to play the traditional SWL Boxing Day fixture so Helston gladly set up a fixture with Porthleven (then of the Combination LEague. "It will be more like old times on Boxing Day when we entertain our neighbours from Porthleven in the First leg of the "Mayor's Cup" on Monday December 27th. ko 2-30pm" Does anyone know of the history of this cup ? The Helston lineup was-K.Mollard-J.Paynter-G.Howells-M.Orchard-A.Winn-T.Bolitho-J.Harvey-A.Hughes-M.Tiddy-K.Songhurst-A.Drew. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
