What are peoples opinions on the latest draw?

City have a very difficult group, Celtic have an up hill struggle.

Predictions? Personnally i think you are gonna have to beat Real Madrid to win the comp!

Champions League groups:

Group A: Porto, Dynamo Kiev, Paris St Germain, Dinamo Zagreb

Group B: Arsenal, Schalke, Olympiakos, Montpellier

Group C: AC Milan, Zenit St Petersburg, Anderlecht, Malaga

Group D: Real Madrid, Manchester City, Ajax, Borussia Dortmund

Group E: Chelsea, Shakhtar Donetsk, Juventus, FC Nordsjaelland

Group F: Bayern Munich, Valencia, Lille, BATE Borisov

Group G: Barcelona, Benfica, Spartak Moscow, Celtic

Group H: Manchester United, Braga, Galatasaray, CFR Cluj

I was hoping for Malaga, Benfica and Lille, might have made one of those trips. Looking at the groups, I have highlighted the 2 teams to top each group. You can almost predict before the draw is made which teams will be in the final 16 and 8, same clubs each season - a step closer to the UEFA ideal of a European Super League.

I must say the draw seems to favour some clubs year in year out. Why don't they stick all teams in the same pot and draw the groups from there,? What difference does it make if you play someone from your own country? So predictable the way it is done now.

All down to money i'm afraid, can you imagine the scenario of the top teams like Barcelona ,Manchester Utd , Real Madrid and Bayern Munich being drawn in the same group.Or if the shite teams like CFR Cluj,BATE Borisov,FC Nordsjaelland and Chelsea were to be drawn together.........UEFA would have kitten's. : )

It is down to money, but i agree should be done on an FA cup format, would make for an more exciting competition!! :yahoo:
