margo Posted August 21, 2012 Report Posted August 21, 2012 Dobwalls 5 v 3 Foxhole. Foxhole apparently 3-0 up? Much better result for the Foxes though, hopefully Saturday's game v Helston was a 'blip'.
Jamie Richards Posted August 21, 2012 Report Posted August 21, 2012 Godolphin's third goal an early contender for goal of the season

FIGURE OF 8 Posted August 21, 2012 Report Posted August 21, 2012 Dobwalls 5 v 3 Foxhole. Foxhole apparently 3-0 up? Much better result for the Foxes though, hopefully Saturday's game v Helston was a 'blip'. Yes Dowalls 5 Foxhole 3 - Darren will for sure give a much more detailed report later. But this really was a game of 2 halves. Foxhole by far better team 1st half and were 3 up inside half hour - some really good finishes aswell. But Joe Knight scored last 15 of 1st half and then set up Hake to make it 3-2 just before half time lead. We probably didn't deserve this narrow margin but we held onto it for dear life. We won 2nd half 3-0 with goals from Joe Knight, Martyn Hake & Jack Bartlett who got his first 45 of the season!! This was always going to be a difficult fixture after their result on Saturday and I think all connected with Foxhole deserve great respect for the way that they rolled their sleeves up and totally outplayed us for 30 minutes. If they carry on like that I don't think they'll lose every game this season and will make steady progress - I wish them well. 2 games, 6 points, but not yet playing simple football like we know the boys can . . . . . Wadebridge saturday so play like that and we'll get hammered. Regards. Blakey.

Aberfalman Posted August 22, 2012 Report Posted August 22, 2012 Unusual to see the kind of sportsmanship shown by Mark Vercesi last night Mike.
Aberfalman Posted August 22, 2012 Report Posted August 22, 2012 It looked like the referee had awarded town a second goal at 1-1 but Mark Vercesi admitted to handball. A couple of the Liskeard players seemed to congratulate him on his honesty.
Argyle Fan Posted August 22, 2012 Report Posted August 22, 2012 It looked like the referee had awarded town a second goal at 1-1 but Mark Vercesi admitted to handball. A couple of the Liskeard players seemed to congratulate him on his honesty. Well done that man - regrettably we don't see enough of that attitude nowadays.
Lafs Posted August 22, 2012 Report Posted August 22, 2012 Well done Cheesy. Must put a mention out for a similar example of sportsmanship shown by Paul Hampshire for Newquay during a pre season match last month. Awarded a dubious penalty, he sportingly and honestly gave the penalty up handing back the ball to the opposition. Perhaps the power of the Olympics is taking effect, good to see Cornish players setting the example.
Paul Posted August 22, 2012 Report Posted August 22, 2012 The Olympics effect had worn off as Newquay smashed home that dodgy pen last week!!
Nemesis Posted August 22, 2012 Report Posted August 22, 2012 The Olympics effect had worn off as Newquay smashed home that dodgy pen last week!! Cheeky bugger, I apologised immediately for that... mind you we should have had one two mins later that wasn't given as well you know :c:
Paul Posted August 22, 2012 Report Posted August 22, 2012 :P Had to get that one in. Laffs set that one up just nicely!! Cant complain about value for money on that night. £4 for a 3-2 defeat which had everything. Last night I spent £30 getting to Dagenham on the mini bus, £22 to get in the ground.......yes, thats right, £22 to watch Dagenham v Argyle!! Got home at 4.15am after the worst 0-0 draw I can remember. Dreadfull football and certainlly no better then what ill watch at Blaize Park tonight.
