Parkway 3 Saltash United 3 ( ht 2-1 ) (Parkway scorers - Jon Heveran,Lewis Young 2)

Another dramatic game between these sides for the neutrals .For the respective supporters it felt two points dropped for Parkway , and a point gained for the Ashes .

The Ashes had the better of the first twenty minutes after starting very strongly ,they scored early on with Parkway's defence in chaos, and then nearly adding several more . Parkway gradually gradually got a foothold in the game and equalised through Jon Heveran thumping in a header from Mark Berry's corner with Lewis Young sending an effort into the far corner for an unlikely Parkway lead . The lead was then extended when Young rolled the ball in through a crowd of players for his second and Parkway's third early in the second half to emphasise their domination . The home side then threatened to add more after that with Ryan Richards going very close on a couple of occasions . It felt like we were cruising to the win .

Memories of the Tavvy game on Tuesday were uncomfortably revived though in the closing twenty minutes when we lost our defensive discipline and our attacking composure and lost possession too easily .

We feared a nervous ending , but that was what we got as Saltash changed tactics and stepped up their game ,got a second goal , missed good chances and created panic in our area , before finally scoring an equaliser in injury time .

Our frailty when leading was once again evident for all to see .

We would have settled for two wins out of three in the opening six days , but it could have been so much better

Dissapointed with the draw after being 3-1 up. However , I would have took the draw at the start of the match.
