Guest Postie Pidge
St Blazey! Latest League News : The first ever Peninsula League Charity Bowl was won by Dartmouth this afternoon at a sun soaked Kimberley Stadium. Both the Darts and runners-up St Blazey produced an entertaining match with some quality goals scored and the score-line in doubt until the final whistle. Watched by a crowd of 412 the match saw around 600 pounds raised for the league benevolent fund and a fitting "kick-off" to the new league. St Blazey took the lead with the only goal of the first half scored by Tom Lamburne after 27 minutes and it was another half hour before Darts levelled through Steve White. The Darts took the lead for the first time after 75 minutes through Chris Harrity but the lead last just 2 minutes as Lamburne levelled. The winning goal came following a crisp deep volley from Robbie Bowker flew in the net to give the Darts the first silverware in the new league
Paul
St Blazey 2 v 3 Dartmouth. A good match to get the season going at a sun soaked Saltash. Sadly we lost to a belter of a goal in a the dying minutes but i thought our new look side competed well against the Devon champions who have kept their squad together. Some good goals, first St Blazeys 1st with a good half volley past the keeper. Then 2 good strikes for Dartmouth 2nd and 3rd. Caught up with Pidgeon before the game. How confident are you for saturday Pidgeon? Well catch up next week. Were the flags ok for you? :c:
Guest Postie Pidge
Flags looked good Paul! Will they be up for the whole game on Saturday after we storm into a 5-0 lead? Haha just kidding. If we come through Tuesday without any knocks and we play to our cpabilities I think it'll be a good game
Paul
Theyll be up for the whole game. (at the back of the stand) No problems there. Looking forward to next sat. Hopefully a good season opener. Its going to be hard for this new look St Blazey but i think theres enough there to compete. Be good to see a good crowd for the seasons opener. Falmouth v St Blazey should attract a good crowd im sure.
