Porthleven 3-2 St Dennis

Saints goals :

Carl ricks

Ryan Hayhurst

Well not alot I can say about this game other then I don't think we wanted to be there, porth easily deserved the win after fighting back from 2-0 down, we started well 1st 20 mins, the porth got their 1st goal and we just didn't look like taking control,

Well done to Porthleven, them along side penryn are the only 2 teams to do the double over us this season, looking forward to the cup final now hopefully we can have a nice end to the season, :)

Ivybridge 9 - 2 Penzance

Ivybridge opened the scoring after 7 mins, but Pz were level again after 9 mins after the keeper spilled a free kick. Ivybridge regained the lead some 5 mins later and took total control of the game scoring 3 more before half time. To be fair they did play the better football and defended like they knew what they were doing.

HT 6 - 1

The 7th goal was along time in coming, some 20 mins into the 2nd half, however, Pz never gave up and pulled a goal back to make it 7 - 2. Ivybridge again took control and scored another 2 to make the score 9 - 2. Some of the crowd were calling for 10, if not for the keeper making some good saves it may have well been.

FT 9 - 2

Scorers: Joe Truelove 3, Steve Sutton 3, Sam Chitty, Max Scragg, Gary Simmons.

Crowd 50 who were sent away very happy.

Buckland 5 Plymouth Parkway 3

Good game played on a heavy pitch, both teams tried to play footy, some good football, tackles and attitude from both teams.

We at Buckland Athletic would like to show great thanks to Plymouth Parkway for thier contribution to the Newton soccerbility day we had up homers today, where several disabled young football players were mascots for the game and all the Parkway

Players and officials, lined up with them for the pre game handshake, it certainly made a few young people's day.

And also the framed letter they gave us congratulating us on our promotion, this was something they didn't have to do, but was really appreciated. Hopefully we may see you in the next few seasons as you also look to go up the football pyramid.

Apologies for the pitch, but it took me and a couple others 5 hours to get game on, but no complaints from your players, there was some good stuff played at times as well!!

And hope the pasties and programme were to the bald ones liking?

The way Buckland started today we were worried that we were going to take a real hiding . Parkway were at the proverbial "sixes and sevens" and Buckland cut us to shreds at times , we were grateful for some wayward finishing , a clearance off the line and some smart keeping from Martin Piper to keep it at two at half time . We never had a sniff .

Parkway obviously had a strong cup of tea (and some strong words from a stern looking Wayne Hillson) at half time as a combination of us changing our game plan , upping our work rate ( and Buckland possibly lifting their foot off the gas) meant that we finally took the game to them .Sam Cooper in particular proving a handfull . Even a third Buckand goal didn't change the Parkway mood, the feeling was that Buckland were possibly wobbling . After Jon Heveran hitting the crossbar and Lee Doel having a one on one chance with the keeper well saved ,the goals finally came with Paul Heveran crashing in the first and Lee Doel slotting in a second soon after . Buckland showed their class soon after though by scoring a fourth and snuffing out the Parkway revival . The pattern of the first half was then resumed as Buckland dominated the play and created numerous excellent chances , before finally notching a fifth . Jon Wyatt showed what might have been by notching a well taken third for Parkway in the dying minutes .

Despite the result though , we really enjoyed our visit to Homers Heath . The off the field set up,ground facilities, professionalism of the non-playing staff and matchday program contribute to the feeling of a very progressive club that is intent on moving forward .They clearly show what other clubs need to aspire to . Good luck in the Western League for next season !

ps Superb ham,egg and chips before the game . The Bald One did not indulge , but Bald One Jr tucked into the homemade sausage rolls with gusto .

Pasties ....................... I did not see any pasties ? But to correct Way of the Park , The BaldOne and BaldOne jnr did polish off a portion of cheesey chips each prior to kick off. Great set up you have and the programme was top class.

Not one of our better performances today , but the heavy pitch and the Buckland team played their part. The best team won this one and I have no regrets making the journey.

Well done to all at Buckland and good luck for next season.

Cmon Parkway, keep going lads.

Torpoint 1 - 2 Camelford

A pretty lack lustre first half with Torpoint scoring the only goal of the half from the penalty spot.

Camelford came out looking a different team in the second period, had by far most of the possession and always looked dangerous on the attack. The two well taken goals were scored by Ryan Pooley and Marc Gusterson.

Thanks to Torpoint for their hospitality and a friendly welcome, especially from the clubhouse.

Another excellent three points for the Camels, taking their tally to over 50 points in their first season in the premier league and still with two games to go. Brilliant!
