St.Agnes 2 Foxhole 1 h/t 1=0

The first goal was scored very early on and before i arrived.St.Agnes went on to miss 2 or three very chances in the half although the woodwork(?) was struck at both ends of the pitch.

Foxhole made St.Agnes pay for the missed chances when a well directed free header from a throw in eluded the keeper.A late run and cross by Gavin Bennetts was met by Justin Andrews's head for the winner from 10 metres in the closing stages.

Holman SC 4 Portreath 1

Decent match in baking heat, played on a very good looking Storm pitch. Paps scored in first couple of minutes and Holmans pretty much dominated throughout.

Storm 7 Falmouth Athletic 2

This match was'nt helped by Athletic turning up with only 10 men, and so no linesman either, and inevitably

some pretty close offside shouts. Just shows how important it is to show appreciation to all officials, because nobody seems to want to run the line these days!

FC Dynamo St Dennis 1 - 3 Premier Sixes (HT 0-1)

After the unorganised debacle that was the 13-1 defeat against Godolphin first's on Thursday, P6 turned up for their first 'proper' match with a squad of 15 (not 11 this time) still missing 5 of the first starting 11.

Dynamo looked the more organised side during the first 10 minutes as P6 struggled to find their feet, however, once the side had settled in it, they began to play the better football and went in to the break leading comfortably 1-0 after Dan Parsonage opened the scoring from the edge of the box. Key changes to the defence and midfield again saw P6 make a slow start to the second half, but again the settled in and went 2-0 up when 16 year old Nathan Prentice fired in the second following a good move. Dynamo got back into it when Nick Merrikin powered a bullet header into his own net to reduce the deficit to 2-1. P6 continued to play the more fluent football and extended the lead when Martyn Probert scored the third. There could have been more goals as a fantastic save from Ringrose denied a Dynamo player a headed goal while at the other end Tom Currah, Adam Pearson, Prentice and Probert all failed to hit the target with fine chances.

A good run out and test against the side that finished third in Duchy 5 last season.

We would like to thank all those guys at Dynamo for a great afternoon and wish them all the best for the coming season.

P6 team

Ringrose - Caple, Code, Prentice (1) - Cousins, Corocoran, Pete, Parsonage (1), Hughes - T Currah, Probert (1)

Subs - Curtis, Merrikin, Marsh, Pearson

Missing from squad - Leamy, Sparkes, Panter, ****, Ferris, Jones, N Currah

Ladies Football

Penzance LFC 1-14 Fulhan LFC

Crowd about 120

Good game with some great finishing from visitors. Score shows difference between local and national football. Some good players in Fulham side, confident on ball, much stronger at kicking, and quality passing.

On thing Pz never gave up and were 13-0 down before they scored their goal and it wasn't a fluke but a well taken lob of Fulham's goalie who wasn't bert pleased to have been beaten.

Frogpool Res 1 - 5 Trispen XI

Goalscorers for Trispen: Jolly 2, Williams 2, Maker

A really good game in extreme conditions. Frogpool Res really played well and we were a little bit lucky to go in one nil up at the break. The second half was better from the away side with four goals scored.

Must thank Frogpool for the game and as usual they made us very welcome.

All the best for the furture to all concerned at Frogpool.

Roche 1-5 Foxhole, game played in good spirit, even first half with both sides missing good chances,Roche shouldnt feel too bad with numerous new players trying to find their best position, Foxhole scored within dying seconds of the 1st half wth an unfortunate penalty decision which was converted by Chris Dingle.

Roche made numerous changes throughout the second half which seem to unease the team performance, and 4 errors during the 2nd half gave the visitors a comfortable win, but full credit to the home side who never gave up, Paul Omahoney gave Roche a consolation goal.Roche also had to have a stand in keeper as regular keeps Jon "the cat " Collins was having tea with Osama.

A lot of positives, especially the new young lads who when they gel with take a lot of stopping, also thanks to Bob at Foxhole for giving us a game. :clapper:
