Fingers R Us
Torpoint (0) 1-5 (3) Saltash Attendance a very poor 81, proberly due to some champions league game on lol Torpoint came back to earth with a thump after a very good 9 game run of wins. We were three nil down at half time. The Ashes scored early in first half with a Torpoint Own Goal. Then 5 minutes later Salash had a penlty, put away by Ross Saint low to the left, then Sam Hughes scored the third on half time. 10 minutes in to the second half Liam Thornton scored for Point with a run and shot then Sam Hughes and Marc Thorne made it five. Overall a disappointing game for the men from The Mill after a brillant run, but fair play to Saltash they played well. I hope I have the Saltash scorers right as my match notes are at home!!! TimmyRaa
5th goal was scored by Our sub Luke Dodderidge. I set out from home expecting a close, hard fought battle, but from the start it was clear there was only going to be one winner. In all honestly it could easily have been 7 or 8. I didn't see the challenge that resulted in Chris Maskell's red card 3rd place doesn't seen unachievable for us this year
Henning Berg
Sounds as though Torpoint didn't do their recent run justice last night. Heard Saltash were very good though, efficient and punished mistakes so thoroughly deserved their win. Should be a top 4 finish for them I predict and Torpoint will probably stay 9th with their being a bit of a cushion either way in the standings.
