Social Soccer - Evening matches for the Summer @ Cornwall College

Cornwall College Football Development Centre will be hosting evening social 11-a-side football for the summer.

Day: Wednesday

Time: Game 1 - 5.45 - 7pm

Game 2 7.15 - 8.30pm

Start Date: 2nd May

Cost: £1 per player.

Rules: 30 minutes each way

Rolling Substitutions

Turn up and play opportunites for over 16's, Teams of 11 minimum, Officiated by league officials.

Prize for winning team in every game (Pitcher of beer at Railway Inn)

Teams need to be registered so that fixtures can be created.

No need to affiliate any team, this is a turn up and play programme.

Sounds a great idea, but not sure League Officials are allowed to officiate any matches that are not affiliated? Would check with the CCFA to be double sure! Think it is an insurance thing or health and safety, refs can get into trouble as well as players.

The programme will be affiliated but the teams do not need to be, I am working with the CCFA and the referee's association to ensure it is all above board.

Hopefully it will provide players of all ages and abilities the chance to play for fun, as that is how the sport was intended.

Due to the late ending of season and many midweek matches still to play the Social Soccer Programme will now commence on 23^rd May, this will hopefully allow all players to be free of league commitments.
