Illogan 2-1 Holman sports club

Holman goalscorers Jordan jackson

Wasn't at the game as I'm 250 miles away but Tasky just rang to give the result. Apparently a good performance from the relegation threatened side who were nearly on for a point until the 88th min when Illogan grabbed a late winner...... Gutted :(

Holmans games now complete mullion have to only draw two of their remaining 3 games or win just once to jump above us in the table. Going to be a bit painful watching out the rest of the games. Would like to say well done to the holmans players for battling out the last couple of months and we had an awful run in playing four of the top 5 in our last 5 games but the lads showed a lot of character and put in some good competitive displays running a couple of the top sides close and surprising a few teams in the process! Ultimately though a failure to beat the teams around us and an "administration error" which cost us 3 points at Troon may be to big a mountain to climb but whatever league holman sports club will be in next year I am pretty sure our loyal band of players will be lining up to wear the green shirt at blaythorne once again

Got exactly what we deserved tonight I'm afraid and so did my lads after!!!!!!!!!!

Well done to Perranwell deserved and wanted the points more...

Godda get up for it again Saturday hopefully our attitududes will be a little different!!!!!!!

Never mind winno, now the league may be gone why not try a few of players that are knocking on your door for next season, rid of the likes of Allen and co, who are past there best but still do a good job, let the youngsters in or some of your reserves and the junior side to see if they are up for it.

Well as you know when you play the team at the top you ( and the supporters ) really try a tad harder!!!

But as we have improved a little lately we thought we could get something !!

But i can see how Penryn are where they are as at times they did look dangerous . :c:

I don't see your point ?? Penryn had a young team tonight .. just got beaten at the back !! you can't beat pace !!

Yours to throw away by looks of it Paul. Same points as st agnes with a game in hand over them. It's refreshing to see the combo league being competitive right to the end, can't remember the last time that happened.

St agnes have a tough run in with st just to play twice as yet aswell. I think it will ho to the wire.

But Falmouths to throw away

Stop stealing my line Darren! We are a reserve team, we have never won the league! We have got a trophy in the bag, we will do our very best to try to win the league, but we will just relax and enjoy the remainder of the season, if it goes well then we have got as good a chance as the other teams still left in the hunt. I totally agreed this has been a good season for the combo, very interesting right until the end. I still think, without disrespecting any of the teams your playing that Aggie have the slightly easier run in!
