bushy12 Posted February 9, 2012 Report Posted February 9, 2012 Just heard that both clubs are currently discussing the possibbility of tomorrow nights fixture bein postponed for the obvious reason of frozen pitch. The weather forecast states that slightly warmer weather is expected into Saturday, and should the game be called off tomorrow night, it could immediately get re-arranged for the day after (11/2/12) at the usual 3pm slot. For anyone planning on coming to watch this fixture, I will try and post on hear as soon as I know what is happening.
Ian Pethick Posted February 9, 2012 Report Posted February 9, 2012 Sounds like common sense may have broken out . Congratulations to all parties involved in taking all factors into consideration, and doing what is necessary to get this match played .
Soccer Follower Posted February 9, 2012 Report Posted February 9, 2012 Isn't rain forecasted for tomorrow?
DanBlazey Posted February 9, 2012 Report Posted February 9, 2012 The ground has now thawed in St Austell. Temperatures are forecast to stay well above freezing tonight and into Friday. Plenty of rain forecast however, and this could be more of a problem.
Saints123 Posted February 9, 2012 Report Posted February 9, 2012 Would be a different story if it was the second team playing on Priory park this Friday.( would already be off and not even played on the Saturday )
bunty1 Posted February 9, 2012 Report Posted February 9, 2012 Because your not challenging for honours.
Ian Pethick Posted February 10, 2012 Report Posted February 10, 2012 Would be a different story if it was the second team playing on Priory park this Friday.( would already be off and not even played on the Saturday ) Postpone the second team game in this eventuality . The second team should only exist to feed the first team .
bushy12 Posted February 10, 2012 Author Report Posted February 10, 2012 Well the good news is the pitch is no longer frozen! The bad news is that there's now a risk of being bloody water logged! Still on at the minute as far as I know!
