Luxulyan 3 - Carlyon Arms 3 A.E.T, Luxulyan won 3-1 on penalties. After 19 consecutive wins going back to last seasons Sunday Cup Final against Truro GWRSA on 20/03/2011 Carlyon Arms finally lose a game.

Luxulyan must have had loads of ringers in for that game can't see how carlyon lost that.

Can't comment on Luxulyan team until we receive the team sheet. Luxulyan played well especially after going 2 goals down and a man down in extra time. In the end Carlyon Arms conspired to miss 3 penalties. The bigger picture is that it made for a better game (not necessarily spectacle due to the pitch) rather than the usual hammering Sandy dish out to most clubs. When you consider their league goal difference is greater than the other clubs with positive goal difference records combined you get an idea of how dominant they are. Although I don't advocate teams breaking rules I am for a league where one club doesn't dominate so ruthlessly. Saying that Carlyon Arms have served their time as a club struggling to make an impact and have achieved dominance through forming a team centered around players who have been with the Sandy for many years and/or play for the same junior status Saturday team.

Just had a look at the CCFA website and it shows that Carlyon Arms are through to the semi finals of the cup. What happened did other team play ringers as I first thought.
