Shifty Posted February 4, 2012 Report Posted February 4, 2012 I see Ludgvan beat Goonhavern 2-1 in Premier - opens up the league a bit!!
Gary Peters Posted February 4, 2012 Report Posted February 4, 2012 Division 6- Newlyn dolphins 2-2 storm but got stopped because weather i think.
Phil Posted February 4, 2012 Report Posted February 4, 2012 Falmouth Albion 2, Threemilestone 2. Pitch was a right mess at the end,and probably shouldn't have been played on today. 2 points dropped by Tms who should have won 3-2 but linesman saw on offside somewhere after Ryan had scored from a shot wide on the right. Referee could of overruled the lino who had clearly made the wrong decision but choose not to!
Guest Posted February 4, 2012 Report Posted February 4, 2012 Troon (4) 5 - Mardon (0) 1 As you can imagine, pitch was more suitable for ducks! A mudbath which was basically unplayable.

Guest Posted February 4, 2012 Report Posted February 4, 2012 I'm not entirely sure if you have to pay for an appeal. Was it a straight red? What was it for?

Rambo 888 Posted February 4, 2012 Report Posted February 4, 2012 Trelawny 1 :: St day res 1-2 Redruth united well contested game brilliant performance by mark Leah st days goal keeper pulled off some great saves, very tough conditions. St day improving game by game perranporth away nxt week :)
fal lad Posted February 4, 2012 Report Posted February 4, 2012 Div 3 Fal Athletic 5-1 Mousehole Athletic scorers: Jay Durber(2), Ashley Farrow, Scott Kellow and an og A game we should of had won by half time, just couldnt put the ball into the net and got caught by mouseholes only shot on target to put them 1 up, got an equaliser shortly after to go in at the break 1-1. Mousehole came out and had a right go at as from the restart but failed to make their pressure turn into a goal. We then took back control of the game and went ahead with about 20 to go after a non-stop assault on the mousehole goal, 2 more goals followed in quick succesion to kill the game off, getting the 5th almost on the stroke of full time. Credit to both teams trying to play football on a boggy pitch and well done to the ref for keeping the game in check when it could of turned messy (excuse the pun!)

Guest smashing pumpkin Posted February 4, 2012 Report Posted February 4, 2012 the ref looked like he wanted to be somewhere else anyway, before the game he wanted to call it off to the confusion from both teams as the pitch was fine. then just before kick off he said he only wanted to do 35 mins each way, in the end he settled for 40mins. he sent me off and our manager. i bet lizard res wish they didnt agree to 40mins each way because they could of won today and with an extra 5 mins at the end of each half they could of got a draw or maybe a win. final score was 3-2 wendron

It wasn't dangerous, but it was impossible to play on.. he said to us before the game he wasn't sure about starting it, so why watch us battle that out for 45 minutes, get cold and wet, and call it off?? Hopefully get this one played before the Olympics start.. I'm hoping Stuart Pearce will pick me as I'm English and actually want to play! Despite the awful conditions, two good goals from both teams.. Thanks to the Constantine lads for doing there best to get the game on and for the food afterwards.. probably see you next week (and the week after, and the week after etc etc) Div 1: Halsetown 0 Constantine 1 as far as I know.. from what I heard, 'Town were wasteful in front of goal, could have had "6 or 7" Apparently that pitch is battered now too.. could be another round of postponements next week

That mud freezes in the middle and it wont be played on again for a while. Ref responsible for players at end of day i guess so he did what he saw as the right thing
Guest BenTheYeti Posted February 4, 2012 Report Posted February 4, 2012 Aye, he had me and our manager out with your manager and captain and said he was gonna come talk to us.. and he said he felt it was getting dangerous.. I think we felt the same as you.. why drag us out there if you've not got much intention of playing the full 90. He used the one and only tackle in the game where your guy went to ground perfectly reasonably, just the pitch gave under him and he crashed into our striker, and said that helped him make his decision.. what about the 64 litres of mud and rain at the start of the game?? Ah well, like I say, sure they'll make us play it again asap, as I said to your manager, we've not got a game next week, but doubt the pitch will be in much better condition by then?

madmonkey Posted February 4, 2012 Report Posted February 4, 2012 Troon 5 madron 1,the constant rain and mudbath of a pitch certainly made this one hard work...This was the 1st teams pitch apparently so i dont think either team is going to be in the groundsmans good books as by the end it was all but unplayable..Good luck to the troon boys for the rest of the season though as they were a good set of lads and the game was played in good spirit considering the appaling conditions

As a referee where a lines man flags for offside you have to give it!! 99% of the time we blow for offside.....offside is probably the only law us refs do not have control over and count on the honesty of the lino....the reff could have overruled the lino if he had reason to!!

As I said to one of Madron's centre backs, I think if the people on the sidelines were controlled and actually spoke to their players with some respect, without every other word not being a four letter one beginning with F or C, the guys would actually enjoy playing, then the results would come. Has the lino cheered up? After being told that a goal was a goal, he threw down his flag, shouted a few obscenities and then walked off, only to have the remaining 10 minutes to be played with no linesman. I was caught offside, looked over and said "Who was?".... I was then met with quite a barrage of abuse... Not a good look! The squad we played yesterday weren't a bad set of players, a bit of organisation and I think the scoreline would have been alot closer! As with everything, this is just my opinion!

You cannot appeal a red card any more unless you have video evidence! well the fa as usual havent thought of this ... due to the age of players in most teams being under the age of 18, you have to have parents consent to video a game due to there age of being a "miner" . so yet another stupid idea from the mighty cornish fa!!!
B Manning Posted February 5, 2012 Report Posted February 5, 2012 Dear Andy, It is nothing to do with the CCFA, everyone has been banging on as to why we could not have match bans instead of a time ban and now the FA have decided to standardise throughout now thats not right, is there no pleasing people, you were all screaming about having match bans now live with it.

Like Mr Manning says, it's not local but national. Trouble is people don't video tape matches at our levels in Cornwall like they do up north.

This is very true. The honesty of there lino was not so honest though. I was watching and could not see why on earth the lino gave it. But as a team member im sure they all congratulated him after the game. I mean he earnt them a point and didn't even have to kick a ball. Well Played.... MOM = Falmouth Albion Linesman :clapper:
Nemesis Posted February 5, 2012 Report Posted February 5, 2012 Any appeal (for a red card) now requires video evidence. So when will The FA supply every club with the facilities to film games, use slo-mo for every incident and even lip read ? Totally unrealistic. Just proves that with every game in the top 4 Divs being filmed, appeals and public prosecutions are easy, grass roots football is not treated the same.
B Manning Posted February 5, 2012 Report Posted February 5, 2012 I do not think the FA supply any club with those facilities, as i said you all wanted it standardised, well you have got it.
Nemesis Posted February 5, 2012 Report Posted February 5, 2012 I do not think the FA supply any club with those facilities, as i said you all wanted it standardised, well you have got it. If SKY/BBC/ITV/ESPN supply the cameras, then why should the FA use the coverage of games in evidence for/against players, your argument doesn't stack up. 7 days notice of transfers v transfers windows ? Either football at the bottom is treated the same or it isn't.
B Manning Posted February 5, 2012 Report Posted February 5, 2012 It`s not an argument to stack up it`s fact, you now have standardised bans. it`s what you all wanted. So now you want standardised transfer windows, I am all for that.

B Manning Posted February 5, 2012 Report Posted February 5, 2012 Does not have to be covered by a TV channel, lots of teams video their games, as CTB said up north it`s done.
