cornishteddyboy Posted February 4, 2012 Author Report Posted February 4, 2012 I've been asked to say by Luke Hunter of Wendron that Luke Hunter was Man of the Match in the Wendron v Troon game!
ITFC Posted February 4, 2012 Report Posted February 4, 2012 I never said anything!!! That was from a different person under my name, haha
Perranwell Twins Posted February 4, 2012 Report Posted February 4, 2012 frozen pitch down the well.. glad we didnt make a program!
YoungPercy Posted February 4, 2012 Report Posted February 4, 2012 Was informed that the St Ives v Mullion match was postponed not because of a frozen pitch but because of a flood of the changing rooms.
Minns Posted February 4, 2012 Report Posted February 4, 2012 Holmans goalscorers were jason blight, a jamie cooper penalty and a deflected scott thomas free kick... Att was about 25 good game holmans coming from behind 3 times to get a point against a good newquay team, best of luck to them for the rest of the season !!!
cornishteddyboy Posted February 4, 2012 Author Report Posted February 4, 2012 Thanks for the help getting the info in lads. The Combo website is now updated to include todays matches. New leader of the Golden Boot Award! http://www.cornwallcomboleague.co.uk/Index.htm
Nemesis Posted February 4, 2012 Report Posted February 4, 2012 Holmans goalscorers were jason blight, a jamie cooper penalty and a deflected scott thomas free kick... Att was about 25 good game holmans coming from behind 3 times to get a point against a good newquay team, best of luck to them for the rest of the season !!! Good entertainment from both sides, last goal was deflected off Jonny Ludlam.
kempy Posted February 4, 2012 Report Posted February 4, 2012 frozen pitch down the well.. glad we didnt make a program! I was there at 11.45 am and i was suprised that the pitch was so hard!! George was in a bad way after his fall !!! and the clubhouse pipes were frozen too.. :angry2:
striker8 Posted February 5, 2012 Report Posted February 5, 2012 pz reserves vs st just was a cracking game and a well deserved point for pz. A fair result in the end.
cornishteddyboy Posted February 5, 2012 Author Report Posted February 5, 2012 It was. Neither side had many clear cut chances with St Just being the better and dominating the first half taking a 1-0 lead from live-wire Callum George before Penzance were in the ascendancy in the second deservedly equalizing from a perfect free-kick by Bradley Wills. St Just finished the stronger going out for that winning goal, with Penzance having to defend in numbers. Pitch is ruined for the rest of the season but yesterdays game was a good advert for the combo, a local derby, awful playing conditions and half the crowd baying at the referee. Man of the Match for St Just was Callum George, a bustling player who didn't stop running and for Penzance it goes to Jordan Anderson who had his best ever game for the Magpies. One of those lads who plays week in week out without complaint but yesterday in the second half he was in the thick of it helping to set up attack after attack.
There's only 1 no9 Posted February 5, 2012 Report Posted February 5, 2012 You must of being watching different game, st just finishing stronger? Pz for the last 20 mins over ran st just, and bradley was by far the best player on the pitch,
threesy Posted February 5, 2012 Report Posted February 5, 2012 Thought ctb summed it up well, Bradley was gd in the second half, but Lewis caspell was the one that made things happen for pz, especially when he went up front! St just should have made more of there dominance in the first half but didn't! In the end could have gone either way. Callum George is a v gd striker for 16!!
BAGMAN Posted February 5, 2012 Report Posted February 5, 2012 Penryn still going strong at the top with a fine win against St Agnes yesterday - what with Illogan and Fal Town to play each other twice, a few more twists before the end of the season??
MJP Posted February 5, 2012 Report Posted February 5, 2012 Spot on bagman, it's Penryns to lose now. Still think Illogan will run them close though.
Harsh but FAIR Posted February 6, 2012 Report Posted February 6, 2012 Penryn win the league???? Stop smoking weed! Illogan all the way.
MJP Posted February 6, 2012 Report Posted February 6, 2012 Do you reckon Aggie and Town have gone now?
MJP Posted February 6, 2012 Report Posted February 6, 2012 I just think that with their band of local, volunteers they have got too much for the others!
Iker Posted February 6, 2012 Report Posted February 6, 2012 congratulations mr anderson on a man of the match performance as judged by ctb
BAGMAN Posted February 6, 2012 Report Posted February 6, 2012 Depends on how the 2 Illogan v Fal Town games go though Harsh but FAIR, if Town win at least one then they must surely be in with a shout?? Illogan obvious Combo pedigree but Fal in form so I wouldn't count anyone out yet.
wadey-10 Posted February 6, 2012 Report Posted February 6, 2012 Mjp wot do u think aggie and towns chances are u seem so fast to say its all penryn's to lose, u must hav an opinion on the others chances
Deadcert Posted February 6, 2012 Report Posted February 6, 2012 Penryngot their fair share of difficult games too, league wide open but my money on Illogan great pedigree and have players that have won the league before whereas other teams have,nt got many league winners amongst them.
kempy Posted February 7, 2012 Report Posted February 7, 2012 Penryngot their fair share of difficult games too, league wide open but my money on Illogan great pedigree and have players that have won the league before whereas other teams have,nt got many league winners amongst them. I don't understand really the quote " players know how to win the league who have won it before? " The team who ends up with the most points wins the league!! SIMPLES :clapper:
RyRy Posted February 29, 2012 Report Posted February 29, 2012 I've been asked to say by Luke Hunter of Wendron that Luke Hunter was Man of the Match in the Wendron v Troon game! he was proper boasting
ITFC Posted February 29, 2012 Report Posted February 29, 2012 Yeeaah, sorry if I was boasting too much ;)
