Yea, I had fat finger syndrome there, it was indeed 5-2.

He is indeed, Such a promising youngster, he's only just turned 16, he's definitely one to watch out for in the future :)

Tremough2 2 PZ Astropark 4

Another tough game for us against a really decent side whose league position doesn't reflect the good football they play. Pitch was an absolute dog and will probably be out of action for a couple of weeks now but both sides attempted to play the game the proper way. The late kickoff didn't help us as we were asleep for the first half hour going 1 down to a well taken goal, before equalising just before half-time after finally getting our act together and knocking the ball about as best as the conditions allowed. We swapped goals with Tremough in the early part of the second half and to be honest I'd have settled for a draw but a penalty and another goal from Lukey got us all the points, which was probably a little hard on Tremough. In the end it came down to better finishing as although we were under the cosh a bit Jez wasn't really troubled that often by shots on target.

Apologies to Tremough for not stopping for some food and that but the late kickoff combined with the amount of mud we were covered in made going home seem more appealing! Really enjoyed sliding around today, mind :) , and nice that the referee appreciated that the conditions would lead to the odd late tackle. First time we've had Kevin Bennet I believe and we all thought he was excellent today, letting the game flow as best he could. Cheers to Tremough for a great game to play in and all the best for the season.

Camborne Park 5 Troon 2

After the previous week's superb cup win Troon started with the same side as the previous week, although they welcomed back Icelantic under-21 international Marc Wearne and full Botswana international Greg Manley Wells back to the squad. Wells had been released from the Botswana African Nations Cup Squad after breaking a curfew when staying out past his 9pm bedtime, Well's interpretator and agent Louis Goss refused to comment on the matter before the game simply stating that he thinks Wells is "Some Boy". Jody Marles confirmed in the pre-match press conference that the club had attempted to try and sign Carlos Tevez in a swap deal for Goss and that Sam Mayou had rejected a move to QPR stating that he intends to see out his career at Troon.

Park came out the blocks quickly with Troon unable to retain possession and they took the lead after 10 minutes when Luke Rosevear headed home from a corner; 5 minutes later it was 2-0 when Jordan Knuckey gambled on a long ball and forced a fine save from Adrian Martin in the Troon ball only for the rebound to fall at the feet of Jason Fenton who tucked home the rebound with ease. Knuckey who was having a fine game on the Park right-wing was upended on the touch line and from the resulting free-kick Ryan Hooper's superb header flew into the net. It may have even got worse for Troon had Rosevear's wind-assisted over hit free-kick found the back of the net instead of crashing against the post and bouncing away to safety.

Gradually Troon started getting back into the game with Jody Marles and Steve Retchford starting to dictate the play from midfield. Dan Oliver warmed the palms of the Park keeper with a good strike from an acute angle before Jason Philiips was upended in the box and Retchford converted the spot kick with ease.

Just before the break as Troon appeared to be the team with momentum, however Grasso's fine through ball found Knuckey who dinked the ball over Martin to make it 4-1 to Park to surely make the game safe.

Troon had plenty of possesion in the 2nd period without really forcing the Park keeper into too much action although Park always looked dangerous on the break. Woodman was rather harshly adjudged to have pushed Rosevear when he was bearing down on goal, although the freekick hit the wall and flew away to safety. Woodman then after having a nosebleed after appearing in Park's 6 yard box really ought to have converted Marles's driven cross with the centreback millimetres away from making contact.

The game had to be held up for a few minutes after a pitch invasion by some of Greg Manley Wells's ex girlfriends. Marles made a few changes including bringing fan favourite Louis Goss on as a sub and resting Tom Williams who had played the previous week with a bad ankle and not mentioned it once. Pete Norfolk then latched onto a long ball and found the bottom corner to make it 5-1 before Oliver picked up the ball and rounded everyone on both teams and all the spectators before pulling a goal back for Troon, some goal.

The last meaningful action of the game came after a late and reckless challenge from Goss on the Park keeper who thankfully stayed in one piece; Goss after the game claimed he got the ball, he also claimed he could walk on water, sneeze with his eyes open and tell the difference between butter and "I can't believe it's not butter".

As has been said before, well refereed by Nigel Jewell. Troon know they need to play better if they are to still be in the Div 2 cup at 12.30pm next Sunday.
