Cornwall Youth Squad to Face Somerset

The 16-strong squad for the next game in the South and West Counties Championship Under-18 Boys section has been chosen.

Manager Tommy Matthews has gone for experience with just one new selection - Josh Burton. The Penryn player has been chosen after a series of good performances for his club.

The full line-up to play Somerset on Saturday 11th February 2012 at the Hand Stadium, Clevedon KO 2pm is:

I'm partically pleased as I told Tommy to look out for young Josh in the future when he was playing for Carharrack. Now playing for Penryn under a decent manager, his hard work has obviously paid off. Hope he does well.

Quite fancied that trip until I realised Newquay were away at Callington in the Charity Cup... lets see what the weather is like, if it rains, we will be in a very posh stadium !

Just like to echo Rich's comments, Josh was a pleasure to play up front with at Carharrack. Old head on young shoulders, great temperament, loads of ability, really easy going lad with a winners mean streak underneath. Listens, learns, just gets better all the time and very versatile. Didn't have any hesitation singing his praises when Winno first asked me about him, and im sure Tommy will find him a pleasure to manage. Well done Josh!!! :clapper:
