iamfootie Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 I can see in paper today parkway going in for Danny selick witch makes methink that maybe Ben Joyce or new signing Sam Stevens could be moving out of that camp , but where 2?
Argyle Fan Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 Neither Ben Joyce or Sam Stevens have excelled in the goal scoring department. Still seems odd that Parkway let go their best 2 forwards, Chris Wright and Andy Sargent.

motherwontletmegoargyle Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 Parkway showing interest in player currently on Bucklands books
Ian Pethick Posted January 15, 2012 Report Posted January 15, 2012 The buzz at today's game is that Danny Zalick is not coming . I like Ben Joyce a lot , but I do not think he is natural goalscorer and has many other facets to his game , comparing him to Andy Sargent or Chris Wright is like comparing marmalade to tomato ketchup . Both really good things , but doing different jobs . Sam Stevens, on the other hand, does look like he is a potentially useful player buried in a complete lack of form and confidence who is possibly a little out of his depth at the moment . In my opinion , a run of games in the ECPL side where he could get a goal or two and become comfortable in his position would probably do him a world of good . Not privvy to all the reasons behind the departures of Sargent and Wright , but I have thought since this that we have lacked a real goal poaching striker who likes playing on the last man's shoulder . Sounds like Gez and Wayne are attempting to address this ,but I guess that clubs who have these are not going to let them go easily.

So it seems Zallick is in - let's hope he turns out to be the 'real goal poaching striker' - but on the downside reportedly Jimmy Alexander has gone. I watch most of the Parkway evening games and in my opinion the current side still need a couple of quality additions to get back to last season's standard.
THE BALD ONE Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 I thought the lad Zalick showed good potential , but I am a little concerned about getting the ball to him at the moment.
iamfootie Posted January 24, 2012 Author Report Posted January 24, 2012 Who played up top with him?Joyce?
THE BALD ONE Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 Who played up top with him?Joyce? No. Sam Stevens.
iamfootie Posted January 24, 2012 Author Report Posted January 24, 2012 Cool gutted I miss the game ,did hear parkway should of really won it in the second half .
THE BALD ONE Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 Cool gutted I miss the game ,did hear parkway should of really won it in the second half . Yes , they had several good chances and a lot of possession. In all fairness we could have been 3 nil down half time.
The Pocket Pitbull Posted February 9, 2012 Report Posted February 9, 2012 Who is Danny selick????? Tom's brother!!!
iamfootie Posted February 9, 2012 Author Report Posted February 9, 2012 Looks like he will be the only striker left now Joyce gone Weymouth another gone Elburton and hobbo prob soon to go st blazey
Guest flick Posted February 9, 2012 Report Posted February 9, 2012 Hobbs is definitely not going Blazey, some people really do believe some rubbish they hear, hahaha.
Ian Pethick Posted February 10, 2012 Report Posted February 10, 2012 Must admit to being a bit worried about the way the season seems to be going at Parkway . Back in August I really had high hopes that , with the quality of players we brought in , we would push on from last season . Hasn't quite worked out like this ,indeed I'm not sure where we would be without Glyn Hobbs' goals . When you consider that we still have to play Buckland,Bodmin,Falmouth and Launceston both home and away , I am not overly confident of even finishing in the top half .
PWOEIRUTY Posted February 10, 2012 Report Posted February 10, 2012 Another player has left parkway i hear! they wont have a squad if they keep going....
motherwontletmegoargyle Posted February 10, 2012 Report Posted February 10, 2012 With the exception of the guy whos gone to Weymouth maybe they are letting go those not wanting to play in the Western League and rebuilding early for next season and a top 2 finish, with a team to take them into and play in the Western League
hedgerow Posted February 10, 2012 Report Posted February 10, 2012 Another player has left parkway i hear! they wont have a squad if they keep going.... Who left, or is it just another made up story ?
The Pocket Pitbull Posted February 10, 2012 Report Posted February 10, 2012 Another player has left parkway i hear! they wont have a squad if they keep going.... Who left, or is it just another made up story ? I heard that too, can't imagine his departure will have a huge impact on Parkway though. Good luck to the lad
THE BALD ONE Posted February 10, 2012 Report Posted February 10, 2012 Another player has left parkway i hear! they wont have a squad if they keep going.... Who has left now then oh knowledgable one ???????????
THE BALD ONE Posted February 10, 2012 Report Posted February 10, 2012 Rather than a player leaving , I have heard a new player has signed ? Anyone know who this could be ?
The boss Posted February 10, 2012 Report Posted February 10, 2012 Ben Joyce has left to play back at weymouth.
Red Dev Posted February 10, 2012 Report Posted February 10, 2012 Dennis mason is the name ive been hearing that has left parkway
Guest flick Posted February 10, 2012 Report Posted February 10, 2012 ryan richards to parkway ive heard
The Train Posted February 10, 2012 Report Posted February 10, 2012 Really ? Why would he go to a club on the slide ?, trying to figure out who is worse off... Richards or parkway
Slicedbread Posted February 10, 2012 Report Posted February 10, 2012 This is tragic does show some unrest in the parkway camp. although players come and players go can't help feeling that some parts of the squad from last season were changed where they didnt need to and has shown this during this season big names come in and egos go wild and don't perform as maybe they should . I'm sure this will calm down eventually.
THE BALD ONE Posted February 11, 2012 Report Posted February 11, 2012 Dennis mason is the name ive been hearing that has left parkway Since his time at Parkway , he has spent more time banned or injured than playing - which was a shame as he is a good quality player?

I'm sure this will calm down eventually. We are not the only club like this in the current season. Players come and players go. We have a lot of very tough games coming up and it will be interesting to see if the lads can up their game and aim for a top 4 spot. The weather is not helping , as we are not consistantly playing week in week out. Away to Liskeard today and the new lad Richards may be available. Hobbs, Zalick and Richards up front options - looks promissing. I think we need to give Kracy some help in the middle still. We are miising Doleys engine / work rate - hope he is back today Cmon - Parkway :drink:
The Villains Posted February 11, 2012 Report Posted February 11, 2012 Dennis Mason has resigned for Ivybridge
mikesrep Posted February 11, 2012 Report Posted February 11, 2012 Dennis mason is the name ive been hearing that has left parkway Probably for a bit more money
