hoppit Posted January 1, 2012 Report Posted January 1, 2012 I have been a Man City fan for over 40 years and i can't ever remember a signing any worse than Dzeko, he can't pass, tackle, run, or header, so what exactly is his asset. He wastes chance after chance do to lack of ability, if City continue to play him there is no chance of winning the league. If a simple bloke like me can see it why can't Mancini. Sunderland thoroughly deserved the victory today.
Mangle Posted January 1, 2012 Report Posted January 1, 2012 I'm not a City fan. Dzeko is not that bad. Would get in most Premier teams in my book. I reckon all the talk will be the offside goal. But City had 90 minutes to win this. I cannot understand all this moaning about 2 games in 48 hours, so rests his better players etc. They get paid millions, literally, so should be able to play in these games. Brilliant result though, although I think City were unlucky.
telithowitis Posted January 1, 2012 Report Posted January 1, 2012 I don't support them but Man City have by far and away the strongest squad in the prem. But that creates their biggest problem - looking after the egos of players who feel they should play every game and were big fish at their last club. Dzeko looks decent to me, strength, size, speed, decent finisher but got "rotated" when on a hot scoring streak? Manager rotated Silva, Aguro & Balotelli today and paid the price. Sunderland gave everything for their manager and got lucky at the end with an offside goal. Wish I had a bet on Blackburn Villa and Sunderland this weekend!! :c:
Guest smashing pumpkin Posted January 1, 2012 Report Posted January 1, 2012 you win some , you lose some. i think its results like this weekend thats going to make this season more exciting. hopefully no slip up to liverpool on wednesday.
hoppit Posted January 1, 2012 Author Report Posted January 1, 2012 I posted right after the game and was seething. Dzeko was awful today and the goal was offside but you win some you lose some. I must have forgot the 4 he scored at Spurs and the 2 against United so i supose he must be half decent. I just don't see any particular skill, my heart sinks when i see his name on the team sheet
MOUNTAINEER Posted January 2, 2012 Report Posted January 2, 2012 I shall have to see that goal again, it was so close I thought it was in line, maybe a second viewing could change my mind.

hoppit Posted January 31, 2012 Author Report Posted January 31, 2012 Teams do not win championships losing to Everton reserves. Championship winning teams do not contain sub standard players such as Dzeko Kolarov Lescott and Clichy. As a lifelong City fan this is the most dissapointed i have ever been in 40 years. All that money spent and only 3 players of real class Aguero Silva and Hart. Mancini's tatics are rubbish 1 0 downs takes off Barry and brings on De Jong, Why? Somebody please tell me. He has totally lost the plot.
Mangle Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 His after-match comments were a bit puzzling too - didn't prepare properly, thought it would be easier??? WTF
