Second half got bogged down in middle if park but perrenwell managed to sneak a goal in from a set piece to earn a draw which was a fair result x

Jamie C Posted January 1, 2012 Report Posted January 1, 2012 Trelawny prem div: Carharrack 3 (1) - (2) 2 Mousehole. game went ahead after ref checked it was a bit soft underfoot but was good enough to play. carharrack started very slowly and mousehole started quickly carving a few chances but shots went wide. mousehole then took the lead after a clearance was pounced upon by the mousehole player (sorry dont know name) and a powerful drive in the top corner sent them 1-0 up. carharrack still shellshocked still havent got going and mousehole countered with a quick break and there winger shot and with a nice mound of mud sending the ball with a bigger divert past the keeper. 2-0 mousehole. mousehole then created a few chances but for the carharrack keeper making 3 saves to keep it at 2-0. carharrack then stepped up there game and a counter of there own saw the home team grab a goal via the Lineswomen giving the goal (credit to her for this decision u dont often see it) . 1-2 now game on. half time carharrack 1 mousehole 2 the 2nd half started much the different carharrack were straight out the blocks this half and within a minute a handball in the area and a late tackle on the carharrack striker in the area both not given but the game continued. the game was now being dominated by the home side and mousehole were keeping themselves in the lead with some good defending. Carharrack had a goal disallowed for offside. then carharrack had a corner and after a flick on the ball was smashed into the net. 2-2 . the game then was end to end in the very harsh wet conditions with the pitch ripping up. a moment of absolute madness then took centre stage. the mousehole winger who saw a decision of a freekick against his team launched an astonishing verbal display at the ref to which the ref dealt with very well listened to every word he said and then gave him a red card and waited for him to finish kicking the turf and other objects along the way before finally going to the dressing rooms where he was asked . carharrack now had a big advantage and they took this with a well worked goal finished off by a new signing. 3-2 to carharrack now. credit to Mousehole they never stopped the played football and created a couple chances but yet again the carharrack keeper kept them at bay. This was a big win for Carharrack at giving them a 6 point lead over mousehole at the bottom. we wish mousehole all the best for the season and a happy new year. carharrack goals: brokenshire, sansbury and martin. carharrack man of the match : brokenshire mousehole man of the match : number 11 the tall striker (sorry dont know the name played very well never stopped).
wazza10 Posted January 2, 2012 Report Posted January 2, 2012 Pendeen 2 v 1 St Buryan Pendeen didnt start very well you could tell we havent played for 4wks,Buryan started well and took an early lead this woke pendeen up and started to compete, then given a penalty then old mr reliable lee brewer stepped up and put it away to take it to 1-1 at half time.2nd half Pendeen came out stronger and applied a lot of pressure on Buryan but buryan defended well until about half way through the 2nd half the ball broke loose for gary prowse to finish.Game was played in gd spirit hopefully now the weather may let us play some games as we are so many behind
Gunner81 Posted January 2, 2012 Report Posted January 2, 2012 Division 1 Halestown 0 Redruth Utd 1 goalscorer b.adams This game could of went either way, a very scrappy game due to the conditions. Redruth got there goal in the first half and put in a great defensive performance in the 2nd half. Not sure who was voted motm. All the best to Halestown for the rest of the season.
Jobsafish Posted January 5, 2012 Report Posted January 5, 2012 Division 5 Trevenson 0 Lizard Argyle Res 2 Good game and played in great spirit by both teams. Referee had a good game also letting the game flow as much as he could which was good to see. Lizard Res were pretty dominant throughout the whole game and played some really good football at times scoring in both halfs. But got to mention the big bald lad up front for Lizard who scored the second receiving a pass about 25 yards out from goal flicking it up and turning and hitting the ball on the volley with his left peg, the ball sailed straight over the Trevenson goal keeper and into the back of the net. Really good goal. Even though he could of scored a few more from corners they were getting but his 50 pence piece head was letting him down today. Trevenson did play some good football themselves considering the conditions and the pitch slowly getting more and more softer underfoot, but they could not capitalise from it. Great bunch of lads at Trevenson and good luck for the rest of the season guys and happy new year to you!.
