cornishteddyboy Posted December 24, 2011 Report Posted December 24, 2011 Thanks for all the help during the last year. You help me and I keep everyone informed. I have posted this thread early in case there are postponements. We need to be on the ball Monday because the results will be late getting to the paper so I will need the match info almost as soon as your game is over so i can then send details to the papers. You can post your match details on this thread, scores, goal scorers and attendances or text me on 07597907549 Thanks Cornwall Combination League Monday 26th December Falmouth Town Reserves (Mike Brewer 2, Darren Friend, OG) 4-0 Penryn Athletic Reserves Att - 250 Holman SC (Aaron Meredith) 1-6 Illogan RBL (Dominic Pullen 2, Phil Willey 2, Dan Bowman, Musa Sabo) Att - 90 Pendeen Rovers 0-3 St Just (Neil Curnow, Jack Willis, Stefan Smith) Att - 140 Porthleven Reserves (Kyle Frazer, Dan Greet, Steve Williams, Dave Rogers, Sam Freeman, Paul Guest) 6-0 Penzance Reserves Att - 52 Wendron United (Matt Roberts 3, Ryan Tressider 2, Rob Dunne) 6-1 Mullion (Dan Thomas) Att - 35 POS TEAM PL W D L F A GD PTS 1 PENRYN ATHLETIC RESERVES 21 14 5 2 63 23 40 47 2 FALMOUTH TOWN RESERVES 18 12 4 2 65 20 45 40 3 ST IVES TOWN 17 11 2 4 37 18 19 35 4 ILLOGAN RBL 17 10 4 3 52 23 29 34 5 ST AGNES 15 9 4 2 38 21 17 31 6 WENDRON UNITED 18 8 5 5 39 33 6 29 7 FALMOUTH ATHLETIC 15 8 3 4 46 28 18 27 8 RNAS CULDROSE 18 8 4 6 48 38 10 27* 9 PENDEEN ROVERS 17 8 3 6 35 30 5 27 10 TROON 15 7 2 6 31 26 5 23 11 PERRANWELL 16 6 3 7 40 29 11 21 12 ST JUST 16 7 2 7 33 32 1 20* 13 HAYLE RESERVES 19 5 5 9 30 43 -13 20 14 ST DAY 17 6 5 6 26 35 -9 19* 15 NEWQUAY RESERVES 14 4 5 5 29 31 -2 17 16 PORTHLEVEN RESERVES 21 5 2 14 41 72 -31 17 17 MULLION 19 3 3 13 35 58 -23 12 18 HOLMAN SC 19 3 4 12 21 64 -43 10* 19 PENZANCE RESERVES 21 0 1 20 13 98 -85 1
cornishteddyboy Posted December 26, 2011 Author Report Posted December 26, 2011 Porthleven 6-0 Penzance 0-0 at half-time! Goals came in pairs! 47-49mins, 63-65mins, 74-76mins. Penzance only had 11 players including our manager. No goal keeper so had to use our forwards.
cornishteddyboy Posted December 26, 2011 Author Report Posted December 26, 2011 Goal scorers, attendance?
SNKY 10 Posted December 26, 2011 Report Posted December 26, 2011 Illogan scorers were dan bowman, musa sabo, phil willey 2 and dom pullen 2.
MJP Posted December 26, 2011 Report Posted December 26, 2011 Why do winno and keV go so quite when they don't win ???????
davebensonphillips Posted December 26, 2011 Report Posted December 26, 2011 Wendron scorers Matt Roberts 3, Ryan Tressider 2, Rob Dunn
dr.dre Posted December 27, 2011 Report Posted December 27, 2011 pendeen o 3 st. just. st just dominated this game from start to finish, pendeen were disapointing and for what ever reason just did not get going. well done to st just they deserved the win, i hope this has given pendeen a reality check and they respond by putting in a honest shift in our next game. on a brighter note both sides engaged in a bit of banter and downing a few after the game, enjoyable. i would like to take this oppurtunity to wish everyone a happy and prosperous new year from me and pendeen fc.
kevin richards Posted December 27, 2011 Report Posted December 27, 2011 Well done to Paul & Roy at Falmouth Town. Had their team wound up for the game yesterday & on the day, were far too good for us. We move on to next week. As for MJP ???. Our players pay us when they lose !!!!!
winston Posted December 27, 2011 Report Posted December 27, 2011 I went to watch holman's against Illogan and for a game of football as a netral, I wasn't disappointed. Although 6-1 flattered illogan, even though they missed a couple of chances. The home team missed some great chances and hit the woodwork twice. I was however, unhappy with some of the racial slurs coming out of the mouth of the Illogan number 4, towards a holman's player, especially after recent events in the pro game :SM_carton:
gerrard8 Posted December 27, 2011 Report Posted December 27, 2011 DID YOU HEAR ANYTHING RACIST?....BECAUSE THE HOLMANS SKIPPER WHO WAS CLOSE TO THE INCIDENT MADE IT CLEAR TO THE REFEREE THAT NO RACIST COMMENT WAS MADE.....NOBODY FROM ILLOGAN OR HOLMANS WOULD CONDONE RACISIM AND NOT A SINGLE PLAYER HEARD ANYTHING OF THE SORT..

Even Holmans skipper said it to the ref that nothing was said. The Holmans player went in late on an Illogan player and got called a few things but nothing towards racism !!
Harsh but FAIR Posted December 27, 2011 Report Posted December 27, 2011 Kevin Richards neither sets of managers should have to "wind" players up for a derby match on boxing day, if they are not up for it then they ship up or ship out. They won because, hands down they are and where better than you.

winston Posted December 27, 2011 Report Posted December 27, 2011 Gerrard8, I heard such comments on more than one occasion, it may not have been during the incident, that you are refering to, but I heard enough throughout the game (from the side of the pitch, closest to the changing area).
cornishteddyboy Posted December 27, 2011 Author Report Posted December 27, 2011 Holmans scorer, match attendance? Thanks
kempy Posted December 27, 2011 Report Posted December 27, 2011 One at Falmouth and one at wendron That must be gutting .... if you can't have the fan's chant .... There is only one .... ........

Deadcert Posted December 27, 2011 Report Posted December 27, 2011 Watched Fal town V Penryn thought it was a great game with a large crowd, was going to then watch Penryn V Truro unfortunately was called off. I thought I was going to see penryn first team play enblanc at Falmouth.Full credit must go to Penryn as they started the game with their entire reserve side, on many occasions we have slagged off teams for playing "ringers" so I thought WINNO deserved a mention for playing very sportingly. In all honesty, there was not alot to divide the teams although Falmouth were probably more organised and carried a bit more expeirence within their side. Penryn linesman played a big part again with honesty, firstly when a Penryn defender handled apparently over the goal line the lino flagged for a penalty (probably better to have said the ball had crossed the line) and then again after a quick falmouth attack and a goal line clearance the lino gave a goal saying the ball had crossed the line. Game had a few rash challenges but was played in good spirit by two sides who both will know that the result did,nt win/lose the league for either. Roll on Saturday when Falmouth Ath v Penryn should be another good game to see!!!!
Bo Peep Posted December 27, 2011 Report Posted December 27, 2011 b*shy stop kissing winnos bum. he doesnt want you : )
SY WINNAN Posted December 28, 2011 Report Posted December 28, 2011 Deadcert one minute you hate me the next you seem to on my side good good class Look lads or lasses the pops at me are pretty boring as I'am really used to it now just shows the immaturity in this day and age. Falmouth Town throughly deserved to beat us boxing day and I've no arguements with it at all sometimes in football you have to hold your hands up Im afraid.. Long long way to go. What I must say is that I'am extremely pround of my players and all associated with us this season so far a brand new team with a fair few young lads in it. If at the start of the season someone said you would be 7 poinst clear at the top of the league all be it played more games I would have laughed but we are and the lads have been fantastic . Well done!! Lets see in May where we are then we can all comment. Regards all Happy New Winno ######
Harsh but FAIR Posted December 28, 2011 Report Posted December 28, 2011 Not just a new team at the beginning of the season but a new 1 every week was that Ashley Thomas there boxing day? Another new face then.
Tom Blewett Posted December 28, 2011 Report Posted December 28, 2011 deadcert i got told from the linesman himself that he told the referee that he was not sure so let the referee decide. was you there watching the game do you think the linesman had a big part of falmouth winning
Tom Blewett Posted December 28, 2011 Report Posted December 28, 2011 i also agree with winnos comments there he does have a good bunch of keen young lads mixed with experience seniors (sorry pottsy) he has a good set up there and are great contenders for the league. losing boxing day was just a slip up but think that will come back fighting stronger than ever vs fal athletic on saturday
Speedy Gonzales Posted December 28, 2011 Report Posted December 28, 2011 To be fair to mr Wynnan he has took lots of criticism on the chin and hasn't ducked or dived any of it... And he could have easily thrown in first teamers but was fair to his side that have took him top of the league So whether hes paying players or not you have to give credit where credit is due Had Penryn been sitting mid-table then he would probably have expected to get a bit of stick For him and Kev to come on here, compliment us and be completely honest about the game and his team has to earn a bit of respect But if winding him up is gonna effect him and his team...Then please continue I will say its very foolish to think its just Penryn and Falmouth involved, It will be a very close league not forgetting the likes of Illogan etc
Harsh but FAIR Posted December 29, 2011 Report Posted December 29, 2011 Has someone stolen jakes password because that was a very diplomatic and sensible reply not the Jake Harvey of previous years
Pitty Posted December 29, 2011 Report Posted December 29, 2011 Holman sc 1-6 illogan Attendance 90 Holman goalscorer Aaron Meridith Thought I'd better put our result and goalscorer on seeing as this is the results thread for boxing day..... Well that's the title at the top if you read down it becomes the umpteenth let's have a sly dig at Sy Wynan thread. To be honest lads it's getting a bit boring now. Sy has done a good job at Penryn this year especially following in the footsteps of penryn stalwart andy parry. He's passionate about football on and off the pitch and always has time for a drink and a chat when visiting other clubs Which is why I can't really fathom why he continues to attract the negative criticism that he does something a bit more constructive lads about local football not personal attacks would be a good new year resolution to make :)
Guest smashing pumpkin Posted December 29, 2011 Report Posted December 29, 2011 Has someone stolen jakes password because that was a very diplomatic and sensible reply not the Jake Harvey of previous years knowing jake for many years he is more intellegent then people think
Smithy Posted December 29, 2011 Report Posted December 29, 2011 Well done to Paul & Roy at Falmouth Town. Had their team wound up for the game yesterday & on the day, were far too good for us. We move on to next week. As for MJP ???. Our players pay us when they lose !!!!! Love it Kev!!! i still dont understand why people get so worked up on here about teams paying hope you are well
kevin richards Posted December 29, 2011 Report Posted December 29, 2011 Excellent post Pitty. This forum has become a place for people to have digs at each other, some of it slanderous & personal. If i had a problem with somebody, i would deal with it face to face, not hide behind a false name on a public forum. Some of the banter that goes on is great, but when it gets nasty & personal, then it should be stopped straight away. Lets show cornish football in a better light guys !!!! Hiya Marcus. Im good thanks m8 & i hope the injury is improving. Happy new year to everyone involved in football in cornwall. Kev X
