In those days the away county took with them an 'assistant'. In this case Mr.F.E.Davis was the gentleman involved. I believe this was Fred Davis who lived near Veryan. He used to referee Riviera Coasters in the late 60's when Coasters played in the Truro & District Sunday League. If my memory serves me correctly.

There was a referee Fred Davis who lived in the Camborne/Redruth area too David.He moved away a few years ago now.I also think that he was a Vice-President on the former Mining Division Football League.

I will accept that we are mentioning the same person, he probally did live in the Camborne area. I had this thought that he lived down on the Roesland Peninsula. A really good bloke.
