spurfect
I have predicted United would struggle this season,on other threads. Even said I would eat my hat if they finished in the top 4. I have reasons to back up my predictions. Who is United's no 1 Goalkeeper .???? If its De Gea.Problem. Rio Ferdinand,is finished,no pace, over his best. Vidic.Out injured. Right -back. Smalling,no he is not,he is a center half. Giggs.Christ, how much longer.???????? Carrick,s--t. Anderson, injured. Phil Jones.Promising young Center Back.Midfield.?Shows the quality of the rest. Ashley Young, now showing his Villa form. Hernandez, injured. Berbatov[hahahahahaha],waste of space.£30 million. Rooney.World Class, far from it.No Premier goals since the end of September. Plus you shower of Reserves who got done by Crystal Palace. The future is not looking good.Trust me.

gillo10
Just a little nibble Darren, need to let you lot know your place!! Taking nothing away from Paisley, clearly very good at his job, but he did take over from Shankly who left a very very good side at a time when Liverpool were on the up having finished as league runners up and FA cup winners the previous season. Ferguson took over when United were 2nd bottom of the league with some very dodgy players and completely rebuilt the club from the foundations. Definitely should have won more European cups though, who knows if it wasnt for the silly foreigner rule during the 90's he may have. That and having this Barca-bloody-lona side around for the past few years!
St Darren
Paisley won it 3 times as champions of England originally and when it was harder aswell with no seedings. Fergie took 13 years to win it. Forever in Paisleys shadow
gillo10
United have only ever won it while champions of England. You could argue its no harder then than now, now more teams from the better countries, more games to play, you could even point to the fact that the standard of players all over Europe could be better with more African and south Americans playing here. It's just another of those impossible to win arguments but just thought I'd mention it, never know you may even take off the blinkers and show the most successful manager ever a bit more respect.

gillo10
Bloody good point, darn it I only confirmed the 2006/7 season. At least we were champions the same year, and FA cup winner. Proper treble ; )

gillo10
Could be worse, could have won it while finishing 5th in our own country, 2nd in our own city, that would be terrible!
St Darren
Imagine winning it on the home ground of your opponents, or coming from 3 nil down at half time. Imagine having the cup that was lifted in 1999 in your cabinet
gillo10
Couldnt care less where its won. Without doubt its a very special achievement coming from 3 down, as is coming from a goal down in injury time to win the game but you probably disagree. Again not bothered where a piece of metal is, is the original not in Madrid? Only bothered about the name in the winners column but if it makes your lot happy then good for you
