retired for now
MPAD 3-3 Luxulyan 4-4 after extra time MPAD won 5-4 on penalties Not another 5-4 defeat, we only managed to concede 4 today. was a cracking game. Luxulyan 2-0 up at half time and were soon 3-0 up. Goalkeeper up in box, last minute goals, thrills and spills all the way. Luxulyan were superb first half. MPAD changed formation half time and pressed hard. In the end relied on set pieces to get back into the game but was deserved having most of the 2nd half. A last minute sliced shot from Mr Cudlip lobbing the keeper to save the day. Extra time MPAD far better taking the momentum and pressing. MPAD scored first before Luxulyas turn to equalize right at the end. Have to say, some superb penalties in the shootout. was 4-4 after 5 before Graham made a good save to leave Ashley to slot the winner home. One of those games that neither side deserved to lose but unfortunately someone had to. Luxulyan definately a good footballing side but MPAD were the more physical and played some good stuff in the 2nd half. Ill leave the proper report to Mark as theres too much for me to write but well played both teams

Mark Picken
MPAD UTD 4 v Luxulyan 4 (MPAD won 5-4 on pens) Think Darren pretty much summed it up. We gave away a penalty with less than five minutes on the clock and then they went 2-0 following a good move. We had chances in the first half, but Luxulyan were definitely the better team. HT MPAD UTD 0 Luxulyan 2 We changed the formation at half-time and did seem to start brightly, but we gifted them a third after we failed to clear the ball. With about 25 to go we pulled a goal back. Our keeper, Graham Griffiths, took a freekick on the halfway line that was flicked on by Ashley Farrow: 3-1 About 10 minutes later Mike Cudlipp slotted home to make it 3-2 following another kick from Griffiths. Then in the last minute the ball fell to Cudlipp, who somehow miskicked it while failing over. This ploy completely fooled the Luxulyan keeper who was caught off his line and could only watch the ball spin in. FT MPAD UTD 3 v Luxulyan 3 I felt we should have won it in extra time and had the better play. The first period stayed the same, but we took the lead when Cudlipp passed to debutant, Ben Trebilcock, who picked his spot and placed it perfectly past the keeper. We still pressed to extend our lead, but Luxulyan were dangerous on the break and caught us right at the end to take the game into penalties. AET MPAD 4 v Luxulyan 4 Luxulyan went first 1-0, 1-0 (MPAD miss), 1-0 (Luxulyan miss), 1-1, 2-1, 2-2, 3-2, 3-3, 4-3, 4-4, 4-4 (Graham Griffiths save), 4-5 (Ashley Farrow) Luxulyan played some great football at times, probably better than any team we've played against in the West, but second half and extra time we outfought them and they didn't seem to like the physical side of the game. After recent results have seen us with very little it was nice to get a bit of luck today :clapper:
