Arlen

Porthleven (1st) v Falmouth Town (1st)

Recommended Posts

have to agree arleen ,

As I saw the Match Falmouth had four main first team players out, but at the end of the day Porthleven were by far the better side they outplayed Falmouth in all departments, they are far to good to be in the League that they are in, good young strong fast, & a big side,

Ok maybe it is a good thing for Town to come up against a side like Porthleven,

& as you say early days yet,

it does prove one thing don't anybody take other lower teams as pushovers,

Hammers, :huh::unsure::wacko::mellow: :c:

Just because some teams have like Newquay, Wadebridge, Port didnt get promoted to the premier league dosnt mean theyve become bad sides over night. They remain at the level the were at. So any side in the top division drawing a side in the east or west shouldnt think its a walk over else theyll be out for sure.

Falmouth have played three games so far, but only turned up for two. Porthleven played well tonight and I would think they could be championship material

Arlens original post said this game could have had 7-8 goals for Port, thats gives me the impression it was very one sided, was this the case? or were the Port strikers just waistful?

Porthleven created more chances than Falmouth, and both keepers made good saves as well.

Always keeping a eye on his form Rob! the old man is assitant down at Port this year as well. Glad he got one against Town espically when he is capable of playing in that team.

Where the goals scored in this order?

1-0 12m

The goals (in any order) were scored between the white sticks with the net hanging off. (I would expect)

I meant the goalscorers. Who had the 1st goal? Who had the 2nd goal? Who had the 3rd goal.
