St Cleer (Duchy Prem)

Recommended Posts

St Cleer FC has announced that Russell Hale has had to step down as manager of the club's Duchy Premier team due to personal circumstances. Russell had returned to the club this season after previously guiding the team to two promotions in 07/08 & 08/09.

As always, Russell has shown total commitment to the club since returning and the committee and players would like to wish him all the best for the future.

The committee has moved quickly to fill the managerial vacancy by appointing Lee Collins as Player/Manager. Lee is the club's longest serving player, now in his fourteenth year and is relishing the challenge of taking on this new role.

Although the team is currently bottom of the league, the performances of late have been much improved, in particular last week's 4-1 victory against Probus in the Junior Cup and Lee is keen to see that continue in order to pull away from the lower reaches of the division.
