Tanner
Thanks, been told I might not get back in Sunday side.I might be 40 but I found that a bit of an insult as I captained the side for the last 3 years and I still got a lot to give. MEX
Calstock 1 Tavistock 2. A good game played in a good spirit with it being a local derby. Tavistock took an early lead through Darren Halfyard with a great strike from 25 yds. Calstock welcomed back keeper Dale Wood from a serious injury and what a home coming!! Great strike from Halfyard. Calstock pressed for an equaliser with great runs from Steve Treble and Tony Truscott prodding balls through midfield it was only a matter of time before you thought Calstock would get back into the game. Eventually Wiggers got onto a great ball set up by Andy Southcott and drilled a great shot past Tavy keeper Steve Bray. With influential centre half Dean Martin absent due to injury it was left to Andy Crockam to hold the back four together and he was having a great game. Ex professional Robbie Pethick was trying to break down the Calstock defence, but a spirited Calstock team held out until about 10 mins to go before Tavy managed to secure the win through another Darren Halfyard goal.
