West Cornwall entertained a talented Exeter & East Devon side at Cornwall College Camborne in the ESFA Under 15 Inter-Association Trophy.

The game was played to a high level with Exeter looking sharper in the first 15 minutes, James Wignell producing a fine stop in a 1 v 1 situation. West Cornwall grew into the game and took control of the ball, Connor Davy switching play to find Travis Hitchens who drove into the box but saw his shot saved by the Exeter goalkeeper. On 27 minutes Ciaran McNally was harshly adjudged to have handled in the box after making a phenomenal last ditch tackle, Wignell again producing a top drawer save low to the right to keep the spot kick out.

H/T 0 - 0

The second half was all West Cornwall, Connor Davy, Rhys Allen and Jack Glover were now dominating the midfield, Allen in particular doing a horrible job brilliantly well in denying the opposition time and space. The breakthrough came on 44 minutes, Liam Prynn fouled in the box, he dusted himself down and slotted the penalty past the keeper. Exeter responded by changing to a 4-2-4 formation, a quick change by West Cornwall to a 4-2-3-1 cancelled out their additional threat and proved to be Exeter's undoing, Travis Hitchens breaking to make it 2 nil, the counter attacking of West Cornwall was a constant threat, Liam Prynn adding another after good work by the midfield to win the ball back early, Prynn added his 3rd with 7 minutes to go to round off a fantastic team display.
