st. just 1 pendeen 2. not a great game for the spectators or those involved. game of two halfs due to the strong wind. st. just burst out of the blocks and scored after 45 secs, pendeen looked stuned until they equilised after 15 mins. st. just the stronger in the first half. secand half and pendeen took a 2 1 lead after a min play and continued to be the stronger side for most of the second half. a very keenly contested game, with not a lot of quality football played. good bit of banter in clubhouse after the game over a few pints. thanks guys.

Because both were very poor!! Expected a feisty derby! Was no real battle as I expected neither side deserved 3 points!!!!!!Neil Curnow shud have bossed the game but was non existent!! He alone on his day shud dismantle that pendeen side!! Andrew house was the only man who looked gd in that game!!! On paper should have been a comfortable st just win, far more ability in the side, but pendeen wanted It, fair play to them!!!

Mullion 7 Penzance 0

In fairness this game could have been 15-5.A great start by Mullion when within the first 10 mins they took the lead through a Darren Meagor strike from 25 yards with his left foot, thats right his LEFT foot into the bottom corner, this was after his air shot first mind. Then Mullion continued to play some good football, espically through Lugg on the wing.Luckily Penzance didnt offer much up front cause Sharkey was having a mare!!Then Dan Thomas curled one in from the edge of the box chipping into the top corner with his left foot.

Then a quick free kick from Shane Rosevear to Jacob Lugg(the better Lugg),who tried to cross it and sliced it under the goalkeeper into the bottom corner.Mullion could have stretched there lead before half time if Sean Haskell-Mills could shoot or stay onside.

Half Time.

Second Half Mullion came out a bit too relaxed and stopped playing the football that they played so well in the first half. Then Mullion had a free kick on the half way line, that Shane Rosevear took.He aimed it too the penalty spot Dan Higgins jumped for it,might have touched his fringe if he had one, lol. But it bounced and landed in the top corner.

Mullion continued to have a few chances which were missed by Jacka, espically a left foot swing in the box, looked like he got taken out by a sniper as he fell to the floor.Penzance started to come into the game as Mullion lost concentration. Then they had a one on one with the Mullion keeper the striker tried to chip the keeper who got 2 hands on it but it started to loop towards the goal still, the keeper ran back towards his goal and scooped it out before it crossed the line, wonder save!!

Then the Penzance heads dropped again, and a through ball from Lugg to Chris Ensink allowed him to take it past the keeper and put it into the empty net.A minute later a neat interchange between Jack Sherlock,Will Duke,Dan Thomas and Ben Casley, which ended with Casley thumping the ball into the top corner of the net,he doesn't score crap goals!!

The final goal came from an esquisite pass from Darren Meagor to Lugg who camly slotted it into the corner.

Mullion are looking like a very good young side at the minute,2 clean sheets and 11 goals scored on the trot.

Men of the match were Jacob Lugg and Dan Thomas.

Good report of the game. You missed out your keeper's diving push out for a corner in the first couple of minutes. Also our keeper got down to block a 10yd shot.

7mins 1-0

41mins 2-0

44mins3-0

H-T

In first half Pz had 5 long range efforts that were tame by the time they got to the keeper

53mins 4-0

Long free kick just inside the Pz half wide left, drops onto the penalty spot fools everyone and bounces over the heads of everyone standing on the line and into the net.

Then 3 goals at the death that flattered Mullion after Penzance had had a good 10 minute spell and should have got on the score sheet but hit outside of the post, also as you mention when your keeper palms it onto the bar for it to drop onto the line and he scoops it away..

90mins 5-0

You got it wrong this was the one scored by Ben Casley with your best goal of the game a 30yd screamer.

90+1 mins 6-0

This one was scored by Chris Ensink. beat the off-side trap on half-way, ran 25 yds past the advancing keeper, into an open net from edge of box.

90+2 mins 7-0

No excuses but once again Penzance depleted by 1st team call-ups and playing without any regular strikers. Of the 3 up front, one it was his first game (new signing), 2nd had played his first ever 45mins the week before and the other only 28mins ever on the pitch. Been like this all season.

Penzance v Gwinear/Churchtown sounds exciting for next season.
