hammers
Great game Falmouth fully deserved the win, the Buckland supporters were very complimentary of Falmouth, who they felt were the better team on the day, the whole team played well & never allowed Buckland to settle down into their own Attacking style of play, Town were without Hodges, Hammers :c:
High and Wide
Hammers is spot on a great team performance, without Hodges .... Alan got his tactics spot on today and the lads did him proud, 5 in midfield first twenty then allowed the midfield to push through to support Matt Drummond who was superb and took his 3 goals well, defence great, Falmouth are showing that they have the class ... Buckland looked shocked, even i didint think Falmouth would win today... how wrong i was ... big piece of humble pie to eat .... When is the draw done.... can they get Truro yet???? Well done Falmouth fully deserved ...
Dave Deacon
When is the draw done.... can they get Truro yet???? The draw is normally made the following Monday. And they definitely won't get Truro because they are in the FA Trophy, not the Vase
High and Wide
Thanks Dave...as normal full of the right information.....hope Falmouth get a good draw... what prize money did they earn today... and what did they have to pay out for.... not sure of the crowd today but must have been near 150 at least...a lot from Buckland... lets hope with this great run of results and goals the Falmouth fans will start to come back in numbers as at last they have a team that is going in the right direction >>>>>>

Aberfalman
Well played Town. Can't believe we kept up our recent scoring spree against a side like Buckland Athletic...and without Ian Hodges too! Great all round performance although a special mention for Drummo (obviously); but also Lee Rundle, thought he had a very good game.

Mike Odgers
I agree with Lee Rundle having is best game for Town this season The Falmouth midfield "Buzzed" knocking Buckland off their game and Drummo' did the buisness

SON OF LINEKER
Totally agree, superb win for Town . Haven't seen a top team like Buckland literally looking at each other as if to say " what do we do now ?" for a long time, let's hope it continues. After a performance like yesterday's I think whoever we get in the next round won't be looking forward to coming to Bickland. Just a comment on High & Wide's post re the Falmouth fans coming back,I'm all for that as long as the fans who deserted us when Truro started to do well don't return, because as we all know you can't change your team. Also a question for Mike Odgers : We are unbeaten at home this season in 7 games but does this run go further back into last season ?
Dave Deacon
I think (and hope) I'm right in saying that Falmouth only lost one league game at home last season, and that was their very first one! The record in recent times is a 51 match unbeaten SWL run at Bickland Park which ended in 1987-88 season Newquay were the club that ended that run In cup competitions last season Falmouth lost to Ilfracombe in the F A Cup and Saltash in the Throgmorton cup - both at Bickland
Mike Odgers
Rather have Torpoint or Cullompton at home It was 10 years ago Falmouth last reached the 2nd Round proper and the they travelled to Ash United (near Aldershot) so I would gues the catchment area will have expanded from the S W Region. I fancy an Away tie to Cowes on the Isle of White.

paignton-nick74
We simply weren't on the same level as Falmouth on Saturday. We got what we deserved, absolutely nothing. Estimated the crowd at 175, thouugh havent seen an official gate yet. Good luck to Falmouth in the next round, if it's away and I can get there, may just turn up.
