Combo Results Thread and Latest Table - Sept 17th 2011

Just wondered why my good old mate jamo only post when the mighty illogan win? ######

sorry for not gettin online to post any score tyson, had to leave straight after the game yesterday as had other commitments and not able to get on here until now! oh and i have put scores up on the games we didnt win, like the draws with Wendron and St Agnes as far as i remember!

good game down at St Ives yesterday, Illogan started strongly scoring early on with a cracking finish from Dan Bowman, from then on had most of the first half to be fair and had enough chances to maybe have settled the game, but if you dont take your chances you always run the risk of regretting it, regret it we did with StIves getting a penalty not to long before half time.

Second half with the wind behind them St Ives were defo the stronger team for the first 25 to 30 mins before Illogan got hold of it again and finished strongly and could have won it late on with a Johnny Jones shot somehow curving away last minute the wrong side of the post when it looked certain to be rolling in the corner of the net, good game overall tho on a tricky pitch as always down at the saltings, plus we were a few players short yesterday, we included a couple of 3rd team lads in the squad, so hopefully a few of our regulars maybe back when we play at St Ives again next week in the cup, but no excuses on the day as we created enough to have probably sealed the points but its what in the back of the net that counts at the end of the day and credit to St Ives for staying very organised, looiing forward to the return next sat! Oh and have to say St Ives, the best changing room facilities in the league without a doubt!

Mullion v Newquay AFC Reserves was played Sat 17th Sept.

Jonathan Ludlam [59999]

Suspension: 1 match(es) from 13/9/2011 to 16/9/2011 inclusive (Saturday football only)

Club: Newquay F.C. League: South West Peninsula Football League Ltd Case: 4976635S

Ban overlooked on Tues in Combo game as CCFA say Saturday Football Only, did not play on 16th v Godolphin.

Any more questions ?

I know he played for the reserves while he was banned , maybe not this last game but the game before , how do the league find out I.e if he plays under a different name

Are you suggesting Johnny played for the Reserves last Tuesday against Hayle?

Yes he played against hayle , how are you aloud to play when your banned hayle need to ask the ccfa ,
bothered!!!!!! Hayle won

Nemesis

Although it states Saturday football he would be banned from playing for any side (including midweek games) until the team he was sent off for had completed 1 match. Newquays 1st's 2nds and 3rds are all classed as saturday football sides even though they occasionally play midweek. The only competitions the ban is not effective for are small sided games i:e 5/6 a side leagues or sunday football (which he wouldnt be able to play as he's a senior player)

As Newquays 1st team had played their fixture on the 16th his ban would have finished. If the fixture had been cancelled due to weather/floodlight failure/ Alien Invasion etc then even though the reserves had a match midweek the ban would have still been in force until the 1st team had completed a fixture

pendeen goalscorers were josh mooney and jack ramsey. crowd was 19, 13 from pendeen

after the week we have had with players leaving the club etc, its well done to Dre, the club, the away supporters, and youngesters josh and jack for stepping up when needed a big up" to the whole team (the furture is yellow and black)( not doom and gloom)

thanks tim, its been a hard couple of weeks but the boys that came in today done them selfs proud.

is it true that ur second team could not fulfil their fixture because of call ups to the first team? how will this be addressed in future heard that they was tipped 2 win their league??

sounds like newquay are playing/working as a CLUB ..all players signed on for the club not a team

And of course, they are all mercenaries looking to pick up a brown envelope. Fair play to every player who may have had to 'drop' to the Combo side, not a single complaint, everyone of them wanting to pass on advice and experiences to the Newquay youngsters.

Maybe they could give your kit man some advice? when your playing away to a team that play in red, dont bring your red kit.

need an away kit?? give us a call!!

good game at the 'Well today. Port the more dominant through the 1st half & an equally contested 2nd, Port probably being the stronger throughout (bias opinion obviously).

port went 1-0 up, before perran equalising on 40mins through a header.

then end to end. port eventual winners. good game!!! im sure the twins will elaborate.

no bias.
