Premier Sixes
Hi, Sunday 5th August 2007 sees Premier Sixes holding a 24-team pre-season one day 6-a-side tournament at Newquay Tretherras 3rd generation Astro turf. There will be 3 cups to play for, The Champions Cup, The Shield, and The Bowl, meaning that there is a greater chance to win silverware and beers for your team! The tournament will follow the following format: >Each winning team will receive a Trophy to keep, medals, 24 beers, and Champers >6 groups of 4 teams – Each team will play each other once in the qualifying stages of the tournament. >Upon completion of the qualifying groups teams will then go through to the relevant Cup quarter finals. >All group winners and the two runners up with the best qualification record go into the Champions Cup >The 4 other second placed teams and 4 third placed teams with the best record in qualification go through to the Shield. >The rest of the sides go through to the Bowl quarter finals. >Each game in the qualifying rounds will be 15 minutes long (no half-time). >Quarter, Semi, and Finals will each 20 minutes long, 10 minutes each way. Premier Sixes one day tournament will begin at 12.00pm, and is a perfect opportunity for teams to get in some last chance fitness training / team bonding before the onslaught of the 11-a- side season begins. Each team will be allowed a maximum squad of 10 persons with rolling subs allowed in each game. The cost per team will be £50, which means that it will only cost £5 per person for a great day out.
