dirty thirty tadge
wow......the suspence is killing me. i just think that it would be more advertising to players if they know who is potentially going to be their manager, personally. Jeff Stelling
Things still need to be finalised at the Commitee Meeting next week but our 1st team manager for this season will be Martin Sleeman, known by many as 'Mendoc'. He's been about the Mining league for a fair few years and finished his playing career with us last season. He has a great relationship with all the existing players and is looking at a couple of very positive signings for the club. Reserve team manager will be Neil who runs The Railway Inn at Pool (our drinking hole/ club) He used to play a fair bit of football in his younger days and has been looking to get back involved. Seemed like an ideal opportunity for both him and the reserve team which last season had to effectively manage itself. Dan Inch will still be our Head Coach and take the majority of training as well as help Docy and Neil with the squad selections but as he has two young ones at home he can't guarantee to be there every single week. Our main down fall last season for both sides was that we had player managers of the same age as most of the players and what both teams were crying out for was dedicated managers to run the team from the sideline so this season should be a different story.
